After 24 hours of antibiotics I am feeling 40% better. Stubborn me should have went to Dr sooner. I am still monitoring my blood pressure and heart rate. It's only gone down to 103 at one point. Dr wants it 100 or below.
So while laying in bed as told by Dr and being bored out of my mind I started thinking about building a flower wall. I was able to picture it in my mind. I think that will be a nice spring project.
Day 8 of house guests, I'd like to report something funny, but I have been to ill to witness such happenings. Hopefully this evening or tomorrow. Laughter is good medicine along with antibiotics. :)
Description: How do I do if I feel sick and I get a panic attack
Behaviors: weight to the head, shaking, figure out if there is any neighbor who can help in case of difficulty.
Evidence for
Anxious
Thoughts: I can not control this situation
Evidence
against
Anxious
Thoughts:? Example: I have complete control of my situation and anxiety/panic by doing my relaxation breathing and using my coping statements.
Alternative
Thoughts? Example: I can handle some alone time by myself. I can do something I enjoy like read a book, watch a good movie or just take a nap. I can also work on my coping statements and practice my relaxation breathing.
Would have helped sooner, but I've been out sick... I have done so many of these worksheets and the worry challenge worksheets I was happy to be able to help.
Lets work on this together. You have the situation, the physical symptoms you are feeling, your anxious thoughts description, behaviors, now you need evidence (proof) for your anxious thoughts, then evidence against anxious thoughts. (like in the examples I placed in other post. Then an alternative thought.
Up and around today! Got several chores completed today. :) feeling 70% better from this virus. Heart rate is still above 100, I'm still monitoring it.
Toddler boy decided today I was his friend. He informed his Mom though that she wasn't his friend, she is mommy so she isn't allowed to be his friend. We both smiled at his reasoning.
While the mother took a bath, I taught toddler boy and toddler girl to fake cry. It was cute to watch. Toddler girl sounds like she is laughing/crying. My newest friend toddler boy is a prodigy! He learns quickly. The mom came out of bathroom and came to check on them and on cue, toddler boy started his fake cry. The mother quickly asked him what was wrong. He looked up at her and started cracking up laughing with the biggest smile on his face. I'm amused, toddler boy is amused. The mom on the other hand isn't so amused. All in good fun. :)
Day 9 of house guests and we're all still surviving.
Day 12 of house guests. So far none of them have caught the virus I had thankfully. Cleaned carpets today with shampooer and started work on cleaning attic.
I am going to have to find an indoor hobby for this winter since the flower beds are almost finished for the year. Any suggestions besides sewing or baking?
Even if you don't have any fears you should continue with the program. I have many fears aside from driving. The next session if I'm correct, is on avoidance. I was the queen of avoidance prior to doing this course. I can still be at times but then realize what I am doing and change my thoughts so I don't avoid. I pretty sure I read in the beginning of course, you can move around to different areas if one doesn't pertain to you.
Are you doing this course as well? It's very good. I've only been here a few months and have had significant changes for the better in my life from doing this course.
I read a story on a page I bookmarked a few months ago yesterday evening. It mentioned toxic people, relationships. It also suggested books to read. I purchased one called "The Four Agreements" by Ruiz, Don Miguel. I have only read 22% of it thus far, but the reviews on it mentioned core beliefs so I thought I would give it a try and mention it on here.
