Job well done Astrofan--it is great to be able to report success, isn't it?
I am coming to really believe this is Do-Able with the one day at a time (or one minute at a time --on the rougher days) mindframe.
Keeping busy, frequent visits to SSC & lots of ice water are all a huge help to me.
My fellow March Mellow--lets watch the meter continue on together ;)

Dear ICL,
Please remember you had bad days when you smoked too. Right now please give yourself a little gentleness & understanding. Yeah--I've had family tell me they liked me better when I smoked--(you know they really do not mean this)--but yet the same folks were so upset & disappointed in me when I had previous relapses. The truth is---they don't mean to have the impact they have when they say something like that.
Be good to yourself today. Try not to take the comments too harshly & know that the 'crankiness'you feel is just part of the life change that you have undergone.
Also, think back on your accomplishments in life....they all come with a price & some hard work and effort. This is no different...
Please hang in there with me--let's choose life & all the emotions we'll now fully experience without having the nicotine to cover up.
Take a warm bath, watch an old movie, go for a walk or take a nap--do something to make yourself feel good (& also distracted).....
Remember---This too shall pass.
Sending warm{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}, Deb

What a great way to enter into your new life with Mr. Den...
My daughter & son-in-law quit 4 months and two weeks before their wedding last year (MAY 12) & never looked back. (They are just wonderfully happy & smoking is so not even a thought for them anymore)...
I'm sure you will be a beautiful bride with the glow of good health...
Now it's time to count the days & minutes till your BIG day.

Hi & welcome RF,
WOW-- you're doing fantastic with 24 days under your belt--congrats on that (We're at the same point exactly).
While I can't say I know exactly how you feel--I know that there have been rough times for me recently too. The thought that gets me through is remembering that previous relapses made me feel worse, instead of better after that first smoke. I keep remembering this & I am able to fight off the urges.
I have been spending much time on the site posting & reading other success stories & this has been invaluable. Alot of wisdom in these forums.
So welcome my quit buddy---lets get prepared to celebrate the 30 day mark together in 6 days & then many, many more... ;)
Deb
