Welcome Annie & Jim,
I am a newbie too--my quit date was 3/1. Annie--I didn't think I could even get this far, but I'm feeling like quiting may be a real possibility. You've taken a step toward not smoking by being on the site. Keep visiting. Jim--let's go for it!
N.O.P.E (I like this one--not one puff ever!)

Hey Jim,
What a great accomplishment getting through that first day!(Which I did 5 days ago)-- It did make me say to myself --I can do this + that it is do-able.
Alot of water, deep breathing and staying as busy as I can have been most helpful to me. Frequently visiting this site has also helped--enjoying and learning from the wisdom of those who have conquered the beast, and hearing that it is certainly possible to work through the cravings.
NOPE--Wishing you another great smoke-free day, my new friend & quit partner...

Can you please tell me what a bump is?
Just sharing my experience--this is my third quit. The other two attempts did not include the support group. I think this may be the difference with this quit. To hear so many others struggled and were scared, but perservered. I believe in myself more this time--that I have the strength to get through this. Reading all these success stories makes quitting seem obtainable...
Thank You, All
