Patrick and I both want to help. But somethings that are said could disturb others who are lurking, even if they help you. Going back to the familiar meds will help. Remember a lot of this is just brain chemistry. Ain't really you.
sometimes we use sex drugs and alcohol to get the good feeling we need. doesn't make you bad. just gets you through. But the long term effects can be negative. Sex is probably the least negative provided that you don't hurt someone to get your relief.

I am working at home today and going in to work for a few hours at 9:30 (2:30 AM GMT)back around 5 GMT, maybe later.
I will stay signed in as I work and if I see you on line perhaps we can talk our way through the IM thing. I think you have to click on the "add to buddy list" button under a person's name to talk to someone and of course they have to be on line at the same time AND signed into the IM.

Thank you Patrick. Your posts are really helpful to everyone. I have a very supportive husband (would have been dead long ago without) and we both have supported each others dreams. What I decided was to get selfish about was my #2 son. I demanded that he respond to an e-mail from my hubby. And do you know what? He did!! :-) Hubby of course realized that it was not spontaneous and asked me if I had told son how angry he was. I admitted it but hubby is still happy to have had a response. So, for me, being "selfish", was a HUGE success.
Try it everyone. You are worth it.

I used to have trouble falling to sleep and fears of dying as a child. What I did was to start telling my self an ongoing fantasy story. I would fall asleep before I finished and carry on the next night.
I usually sleep well now. But when I can't I get up and do housework or rock myself to sleep.
Effexor tends to make you more alert too so maybe taking it early in the morning would help. when I am off it I do nothing but sleep in depression for 12 hours and night then naps during the day.
