Vertigo

No I haven't.  Wonder if it would work if I done this myself and how difficult it would be without assistance.  It's been a long day feeling immobilized.

Vertigo

Hi Ashley,

After watching the video Cardio Tech posted, I noticed another in a link to the right which showed a woman kneeling on floor looking up at ceiling, then she put the top of her head on floor and turned her head. I tried it the first evening and actually fell over onto my side. The vertigo was that bad. I slept sitting up that night. I tried it again yesterday morning and repeated it several times during the day. Last night I was able to sleep at an upright angle. Today I am able to move around more freely with some slight imbalance. Thank you to Cardio Tech and you for the helpful links. I will try the Epley maneuver tonight now that the vertigo isn't as bad.

Davit,

I noticed the days are getting shorter, I was finally able to water my flowers this evening and it was getting dusk as I watered. I came inside just to look at the clock. Some of my flowers needed the water badly. My impatients were drying up fast and look droopy now. A good rain would have been nice while I was unable to water the past few days.

Raspberry Icecream sounds good. I think next year I will plant an edible garden. Do you plant enough to stock over for the winter? Canning and/or freezing? I made bing cherry jam decades ago from two trees we had in our yard. (Different place than now.) I had enough jam for 2 years. I froze half and canned half. It seems the frozen lasted longer and retained its taste better.

Davit,

Very impressive bounty you are rewarded with. So much simpler than having to run to a farmers market to get fresh grown vegetables or fruit.

Today I have to weed the flower beds, then deadhead the spent flowers. I have to do it before it rains. While I'm out there, I am pre-planning for an edible garden next year so am deciding which flowers can be moved where to free up space. I know I want to plant some strawberries next spring. Then I need to start the next session here. I'm a few days behind now, but have more of my equilibrium back.

Davit,

After weeding and deadheading today I came up with a few ideas for the edible garden. I am going to use my 4 fence planters for strawberry plants. I will need to replace the coconut liners in them next spring. I like the idea of a tower planter and think I have a DIY plan saved on my pinterest wall for that. I want to do some herbs as well.

Hugs4u,

I agree that the garden of Eden likely needed a gardener. Gardening is good therapy and relaxing.

Newbie

sm,

My last trip to the emergency room was because of pain/numbness radiating in my arms and legs, fingers and toes and even my face/mouth was feeling pain/numbness. All my limbs felt jelly-ish and I had some minor chest pain. My panic attacks vary at times as well. For instance, my last panic attack I had chest pains, numbness and tingling, dizziness, muscle tension, feeling faint, nausea and sweating.

I agree with Davit, rule out any physical possibilities for your symptoms and also have a Dr check to see if there could be a underlying condition or vitamin deficiencies such as magnesium, potassium, etc.

Vertigo

Davit,

Thank you. I could have gone to Dr on Thursday if I had called and told them I had Vertigo. I figured this time I would just wait it out and try a holistic approach to it. It was a long few days and the flowers suffered for it, but it was also good simulation therapy for me. I had no plans on spinning in a chair. I wonder if subconsciously, my brain figured I needed to do that part of the homework...LOL! Each day is better as I have been doing a youtube video to help move the crystals in my ears. Today I feel just a little off balance and only if I move quickly.

Davit,

Do you ever make Apple butter from your apples? I have a slow cooker recipe for it and just came across it. It can be frozen or canned. Just a random thought that occurred as I was going through my recipes. I remembered you saying something about having to many apples.

Davit,
Apple Butter recipe
5 1/2 pounds apples ( peeled, cored and chopped)
4 cups white sugar
2 Teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt

Place apples in slow cooker/crock pot. Mix last 4 together in bowl and pour over apples. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Mix and reduce heat to low and cook for 9 to 10 hours stirring occasionally until it is thickened and dark brown.
Uncover and continue cooking on low for another hour. Spoon into sterile containers, cover and refrigerate or freeze. My recipe says it came from all recipes.

I'm making Banana bread today before the fruit flies take over my kitchen. I bought to many bananas. Should have 6-7 loafs by this evening.

Baking is good for the stress.

Yesterday I baked four loafs of Banana bread while it was raining/storming. I started Blueberry bread and lightning struck the transformer. Needless to say I was without power for over 17 hours. This morning when I woke up, two of my Koi fish had died overnight from lack of oxygen in the aquarium. One was my favorite. I cried as a dug a hole to bury them in. I was angry with the electric company for their lack of response in a timely manner. Then for their loud voices throughout the night as they dug up the yard and had a good time whilst waking me every 45 minutes with their loudness and machinery. It wasn't their fault lightning hit the transformer, but they could have spoken in lower voices knowing people were sleeping with their windows open. I wanted to blame them for my fish dying, but, it wasn't their fault. It's just what happens in the cycle of life. So with the lack of sleep, I spent the good part of the day baking breads. I now have 11 assorted loafs of bread. Banana, Blueberry, and Cinnamon Apple and Cinnamon Streusel . I've already given 3 loafs away so 14 loafs total. I also made a Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti in the crock pot. I tried it, I don't like it. I prefer the Cinnamon Apple bread instead. I don't have to water the flower beds this evening, but I have some storm debris in yard to pick up. The baking sure helped with the stress of the past 24 hours.
