I just went through the same thing this morning. Thank God I had no smokes in the house. When I got up, I was SO wanting a smoke. It did feel like the 1st day. Got past it. I'm glad I'm not the only one that still craved a cigarette almost 3 weeks into the quit. Thanks for helping me remember I'm not alone.

Revel,
I smoked for 35 years. If I can stop, anyone can. Sunday will be 3 weeks.
Go for it, and don't look back.

Welcome Chare,
Today is day 21 for me. I'm glad you decided to join us on our quest for smoke-free lives.
I smoked for 35 years, and this by far is the hardest thing I've ever tried to do.
The people on this site are really special, and if you follow along with each persons' quit, you'll be better off.
The two people that I feel have helped me the most, had quit within 12 hours of when I did. I think it was not wanting to let them down more than myself.
Sprquits, and One more try... Thanks, made it through another weekend.
Hang tough Chare, and don't let yourself even have 1.

Hi Diane and I also would like to welcome you.
I've posted other times informing other people that want to quit exactly how I felt.
I smoked for 35 years, and today hit 22 days without a smoke.
I thought I was beyond help, but thanks to the people here at SSC, I made it this far.
Post often.
Just take it one hour at a time, one day at a time. Before you know it, you'll be counting in weeks, and then months. There are a lot of supporters here, so take advantage of the knowledge, and strength they can give.

Hi Terri,
I'm fairly new at quitting. Today is my 22nd day.
When you decide to quit is entirely your decision, and it is quite personal. You've been diagnosed with COPD. Do you think that you stop now?
I guess I'm fortunate as I don't have any health issues after 35 years of smoking.
You're at the right place to find the support you need. The people here are wonderful, and can get you through th roughest times.
Good luck, and we can get you on the right track.

come on Anna,
Fes up!
I was at a bar with my daughter last week, and when we left, I could smell the smoke on us. I asked her if I always came in smelling like that, and she said YES!!
I told her how sorry I was, and she'll never have to deal with it again.
The smell, for me at least, is overwhelming. My wife said she kind of enjoys it. She hasn't smoked in 21 days, and still wants one all day long. She told me tonight that she really misses it.
Have a great night.
