Hey, give me a break. I'm old. I'm trying not to smoke after 35 years. I'm also not drinking beer now, my other love. I know that beer is a big trigger for me to smoke. I may forget or miss things now and then.

Tonight is a good test. The doorbell will be ringing, the dogs will be barking, and kids will be yelling. I'm confident that all will be well. No cigarettes will be available. I have a bottle of champagne in the fridge.
Happy Halloween!

I just got my wife to stop smoking. She tried years ago, but today is her first full day. Think about the cost other then money. Hang tough.

Made it through Halloween. The waiting around for the kids to come by was excruciating. This morning was a little easier to not smoke before I left for work, as my wife decided to not smoke. Thanks again everyone for the help you've given me this week.

You make me proud to have made your acquaintance. My wife and I upgraded our timeshare last weekend. We had no mortgage before on it, but since upgrading, we now have a small mortgage. I figured out from what we spend on smoking, if we quit, it'll pay for our new vacations. I showed her, with you guys help, that it's not that hard to quit. That's a joke, huh? Well, she's following my lead. She wants to go away more often too.
Hang tough, show your husband how proud you are to stop, and he'll get the hint.

You've come too far to turn back now. I guess everyone has different tendencies when we talk about withdraw problems. The thing is, I'm envious that you made it ten days. Sooner or later, you're going to feel better. Stay tough, and keep thinking about how much better you're life will be without the added expense, and odors that come along with this life threatening habit.

Thanks JDK,
Now I seem to want to sleep. The 1st 2 days I couldn't sleep, but now I'm worn out. I want to go to the gym tonight, but I figure I'll be asleep as soon as I get home. One more try, how did you get through the sleeping thing? And, I think I'll still stay away from beer for a while. You seem to have super willpower.

October 25th 7:00 PM was my last smoke. There are a lot of people on the other forums. The person that has helped me most, stopped 12 hours after I did...One more try. She inspired me...now I'm almost to 96 hours. Thanks OMT.

I think I've run out of gas. I'm still not smoking, but I've gotten really tired. I had some work to do at home, and I just don't want to finish it.
Have a great night without cigarettes.

Thanks Sue,
Well, ended up going to bed at 8:30. Actually, I feel better this morning, but I have so much to catch up on at work. I have so much respect for everyone that's helped me this week. You are a terrific bunch of people.
Thanks again for all the support.
