Octobreathers, it's almost December!

This is awesome!! How about that sprquits? A full month!! Glad to see you Jodi, I knew you were logged in yesterday. One more try will be caught up tomorrow. I'm looking forward to hearing from the rest of the Octobreathers as well. Since I knew last week that I'd be able to stick it out, I've been looking to buy a new guitar amp for my month reward. I decided to wait until I've saved enough from not smoking to buy the one I really want. The cravings are getting less, but I sure do miss the first one in the morning. That's it for me, hope to hear from the rest of you guys. Goofy and Sprquits have one month!

Thanks for the recognition one more try, but the credit for my quit actually goes to you, sprquits, Jodi, and the rest of the Octobreathers. Now I'm looking forward to a smoke-free Christmas. You guys continue an exceptional quit. Thanks to all. 60 days

Lori, This is great!! 60 days smoke free, and becoming a lawyer. Talk about an awesome way to end 2007. Congratulations!!! You have so much to be proud of. I'm also worrying about a couple of people that I haven't seen a post from in a while. At the start of my quit, we were posting all the time. I guess we should still concentrate our efforts on bringing the new year smoke free. Again....WAY TO GO. Octobreathers, it's almost December!

Hello Cat, and Jodi! Glad to see you are both doing well. Congratulations to you Cat. I do know how hard it is not to smoke when drinking. I guess as long as the bar doesn't allow smoking, it's not too hard. Jodi, on the welcome page, where it says how many people are logged in, just click on "logged in". You'll see the names of everyone who is on at that time. Eddie, sorry I didn't mention your superior effort to pass the month mark. Let's all get through this month, and look forward to 2008. How to use this site - or not

Hi Terri, The people here, have so much insight as to what makes smokers tick. I really didn't give credit to the people who have been here for quite some time. Even though I got pretty close to the people that quit in October, like me, we all relied quite heavily on the advice of bear, unhooked, sue in NC, stickin, and of course we can't forget our favorite talking horse, now can we? These people are here, and I found that even if I don't post any comments or concerns, if I had a craving, I'd use my fingers to call up SSC instead of a cigarette. You make this quit stick, and you will have done something really special....for yourself. Octobreathers, it's almost December!

Sprquits! As you saw, one more try, Jodi, and myself were getting concerned. Just tell your man to keep to himself long enough for you to fill us in on your quit. I'm thinking golf this weekend. I remember how long winter was in Syracuse. 182 inches of snow a year! That's just crazy. That's why I moved South. Still staying quit...and can't believe how much food I can consume. Great to see you. Round 2,3,4 ??

Sam....the first week is the toughest. This is a week I'll never repeat. To start smoking, and then go through hell week all over again...NO THANKS! You're a better person than me for going through it again. Hang tough. There are others with a November quit. I think they're going to call themselves Nopembers. Get close to them, you all will be going through the same thing at the same time, and it will definitely ease your cravings. Remember, we're all in this together, so instead of lighting up, come here and post. It'll keep your fingers busy. Just Stopped Smoking Again

Mui-Mui, How do you pronounce that? Well welcome...you're off to a good start. Remember the 1st week is the worst. It does get better. I started by going an hour at a time. Actually, the first day was 15 minutes at a time. I was smoking 2 packs a day. Then take an hour, then a day at a time. With the help of the people here, you'll hit a month, and sit back and say WOW! If you need any reassurance, just post and someone will step up to help. You're at the right place. Weekend Promise 30 Nov 07

No smoking in balmy Orlando. I think my wife and I will stroll a couple of outdoor flea markets.
