One full week for me :-) Proceeds from this week of non-smoking went to fund part of the book shopping spree I went on yesterday!!! Week 1 done, 1st bad craving!

Week one is finished for me, but I have been sitting on my porch working on a paper for a class, and had the worst time convincing myself that I don't smoke. That lasted a good hour or so. Thank goodness it's [mostly] over, so I'm heading out for a walk. I won this round. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/29/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 175 Amount Saved: $47.25 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 47 Seconds: 5

Week 1 done, 1st bad craving!

Having another difficult day, but things are getting stressful for me. It's like my body is fighting with my head. My head doesn't want to smoke, but the rest of me does. It was actually easier LAST week than it is now :-) Paper and midterm tomorrow, along with a presentation, and then travel by car for a good 13 hours. I'm a little concerned about that trip, but only about the cravings. I don't want to smoke, and I won't. That doesn't mean it'll be comfy *rolls her eyes*. Anyway, wish me luck. I'll be out of town for a week, so I'll catch y'all when I get back! Thanks for all the support!!!!!! -Nilbey My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/29/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 200 Amount Saved: $54.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 14 Mins: 2 Seconds: 43

Tooting my own horn

...and look! An icon just for me :-) I can't help that I'm so corny, guys, sorry! Anyway, I'm back from a long and stressful one week long roadtrip without even smoking one. There were some VERY rough moments, but I'm still hanging in there (I almost said stickin' to it, but I think "Stickin'" might have that trademarked;-). A 14 hour roadtrip, 3 days sitting on my butt at a family gathering with a million other smokers, a stay with my uncle who was just entered into home hospice care for terminal cancer (nothing with smoking, but it makes you think), and a long trip home. I just needed to say so, since staring that trip in the eye almost prevented me from quitting when I did. I'm so glad I didn't let it stop me!!!! So Much Goodness

I feel like I have control of my body and my life. Now I can make decisions regarding my health, because when I smoked, I felt like my right to make good decisions in that regard was kind of...voided? BECAUSE I smoked. It's nice to feel like all the good choices I'm making now (back into martial arts and yoga, taking walks, eating better) are worth it! Stickin' - always making me think about it...thanks, my friend!!!
