Thought I'd add...... I now know many of the commercials people would talk about. I was always outside during commercial breaks. Some of them are actually pretty funny. The relief I feel that I have finally made the move and quit is the best feeling I have had yet. I was obsessing over the quit to the point of losing sleep. Pick a date then change it to a later date etc... Now I have done it and I don't have to worry about that last smoke. It's done and over. I know that I will face challenges in the future but I think the biggest hurrdle is the intial step. thanks for the inspiration, stickin to it. We did think about quitting for sooooo long. And you are right, we are finally doing it! I love this...time, distance, motivators, distractions. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 480 Amount Saved: $100.00 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 19 Mins: 40 Seconds: 38

Give yourself the precious, relatively short amount of time for your mind and body to recover. Time, distance, motivators, distractions and your will are your allies. Work with them; allow them to perform their magic. It is very important to your success that you turn your back and walk away. Train your mind to never give it a thought, move on. Remind yourself often how wonderful and proud you are of yourself. Awe you have winning qualities! Your loved ones are so very proud and pleased with you. And when you put in the effort it is just so worth it. Here you are doing what you have thought about doing for so very long. You are really doing this. There is so, so much goodness that comes out of being smoke free. One small thing for me, I dont look for a match. More substantially, I am not jumping out of my chair to go outside to smoke. How has it helped you?
