if you ever see your ol' doc again remind him that weight is just a number , and if that doesn't work tell him you've got a buddy down in houston that will whip his fanny in his sunday suit !

weight watchers is great , i like the core plan better than the points.
i've been on a fitness plan since 1/2/2008 and have lost 25 lbs. , i've got 25 more to go.
and actually i'm eating a ton of food , but it's healthy and tastes great.
the key is to get on a good exercise program which can be as simple as a brisk 30 minute walk 5 times a week.
my wife has also loss 25 lbs.
here are a few tips;
replace breads with whole wheat whole grain
learn to read labels {things that say "low fat" and "lite" are misleading , keep the % of fat from calories to 30% or less.
the "jenny o" brand of EXTRA lean ground turkey is great , and can be used in a variety of great recipes.
boneless skinless chicken breasts are real good.
but tuna packed in water and mix in dill relish , fat free miracle whip and grey poupon , it's deeeelicious.
get used to skim milk with cereals like TOTAL.
eat 5 or 6 times a day , lots of vegetables and fruit.
there is an author covert bailey that has some great books on this subject and they are interesting , funny and easy to understand.
my wife and i are fifty , we've been married 31 years and we just got tired of being too heavy so we attacked the challenge and are loving it.
good luck to you !

thanks folks , i'm into day 3 !
and yes i am a huge astros fan. my wife and i live in katy {a suburb of houston} and we go to about 25 games each season.
it's one of the reasons i wanted to quit , you can't smoke in the ballpark so if i'm a non-smoker i won't care.

hey folks;
i hope you all had a great weekend , my wife and i sure did.
we met some great friends for "gruene days" in central texas.
this is kind of like a huge indoor/outdoor flea market and antique market.
the weather was great , bright sunshine and 86 degrees.
we all had a few beers , my wife bought some neat pottery AND I DID NOT SMOKE !
yes i've only had 5 days of non-smoking but it felt great to walk around this day in freedom from cigarettes!
thanks for all the help , god bless you.
