15 days and heart break

Jewel,
I have just realized that I read your post about your father passing when you originally posted.  It is a little late, but I am sorry and I hope that things in that aspect of your life are as good as they can be.

Zoey and Jewel,
Just a quick word to say I hope all is well.  Take care.

Jewel,
All is well.  I have been doing a lot of thinking the past few days and foresee changes for myself in near future.  I teach high school so I now have the summer off, or at least don't have to go to work everyday.  This has always been a very happy time for me because I did not worry about what I drank---but that was when I could control.  So I find myself in a time that should be relaxing and enjoyable quite the opposite.  Full of turmoil and anxiety.  Cannot rationalize what I am doing anymore, makes no sense.  Tired of living the lie.

First time here

Dave,
Thank you for your suggestions on sleep.  I will certainly look into that information.  I teach, so I am at a time that my sleep patterns can be a little erratic and not have much effect.  Since I have joined this site I have had several nights of not drinking and sleep was an issue.  However, a day without much sleep is better than a day with a hangover anytime!

Thank you for your experienced advice.  I will be drawing on it in the days to come.  Thank you for what you do.

new to the group

Welcome Shelbel.
You will find a lot of advice and support on this site.  Take some time to read through the post, you will quickly see that you are not alone in your journey.  Hope things go well for you today.

Hi..

Welcome Annie and Swiss,
As you see, you are not alone.  I am much like the 2 of you and trying to figure things out.  We all know WHAT we have to do, just have to find out how to do it.  Most of us have failed more than we want to admit and are just tired.  Welcome and have a good day!

Zoey,
Yes, we will get there.  Are you still planning for Monday to be a AF night?

Jewel,
You and Zoey were in my thoughts today.  Thank you for checking in.  I plan to make some adjustments tomorrow.  I wAs hoping that Zoey and I could have an AF day with you tomorrow.  Unfortunately, I have not heard back from her.
Stay well and hope to hear from you soon.
