As you all know i spent mine ridding with my boyfriends aunt who smokes like a freight train.. But tonight i came home and made a wonderful Chinese dish that is a lot of peoples favorite. :)
His aunt is in her 50s and i noticed the smokers cough she has, i pretty much already had just not as bad. 3 days after i stopped smoking, the cough went away and i no longer experience the pain i did while trying to breath. While i was a smoke, also, i would get re-accuriung bronchitis... I haven't had it in about 6 months, and i'm hoping that since i quit smoking i won't get it as frequently.
So, It's 4am and my "friend" is supposed to be bringing me her car to go see me children, which i might add live 3 and a half hours away, She waits until 4:15am to tell me that i can't use her car... That's all fine and dandy because this isn't the first time she's waited until last minute to say "no"... It's just the fact that she's supposed to be my friend and she's always finding an excuse for me not too. I have a car, that's not the point. My car is 20 years old and has 209,000 miles on it and i don't think it's reliable to make that trip... Really hard for me to bite the craving on this one. But i'm trying...
It's just hard, ya know? Their father already took custody away from me and I haven't seen them since Christmas. I already missed my youngest sons first birthday and my oldest third birthday. I don't know how much more stress i can take before i explode!
As soon as I walked in the front door I noticed that my oldest son is going cross-eyed.. Which means he'll need glasses... When i asked his grandma if they had already taken him to the dr and if he was going to need glasses, she said "What for".. Like she hadn't noticed... I also asked my sons father if he had noticed and he said the same thing his mom did... Needless to say it's been a very hard weekend.. :/
Thanks for the kind words. My oldest son is 3 so he isn't in school yet. It's just hard to look at him and see that he's noticably cross eyed and there isn't anything i can do about it...
You have the full support of myself and the rest of us. I've been smoke free for 3 weeks. I'm still going through the hurdles. best of luck to you and your quit!
I was able to take my car to see my kids, the only problem that we procured from this venture was we now need to purchase a new tire. The car made it there and back with no problem, and i didn't even light 1 cigarette! Thanks to you all i'm remaining smoke free..
