Stoned, beta-blockers and exercise!

Nurse boy, I recommend that you discuss your medication with your doctor. He/she knows you best and would be able to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding this medication. Since you just started this medication yesterday, let your doctor know exactly what happened. This way he/she can give you specific guidance with respect to the events that occured at your workplace and what you should discuss with you manager. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon and your progress. Please keep us posted! Hello All New Here :)

Welcome 1203, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When youre finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Permananent relief from panic and depression

To all Support Group Members, For those of you new to computers and the internet, there exists what we call mailbots or spambots that do nothing but roam the Internet looking for email addresses to send you spam mail. Although the information you submit when you sign up is private and protected, what you type into a post is public and there for the asking. Therefore if you post your email address or real name, those mailbots will pick up that information. If you are an individual who does not like mail or spambots then please refrain from posting your real name or e-mail address within the site. sometimes i wish i would snap!

Nurseboy, I see you mentioned that you have read the panic program. Just wondering if you would be interested in giving it a try. Research has shown that this program does work. If you decide to give it a try, please let us know how you are doing and post your questions or concerns or progress here. Regarding your statement about your therapist, please understand that each tharapist is different, and they each use their own advice or techniques for dealing with panic/anxiety. Make sure you are open and honest about all of the symptoms you are having. You may find it helpful to write your feelings and emotions down and bring this list with you to your therapy appointment. Permananent relief from panic and depression

Hi festive feet, In simple terms, the amygdala is a small mass located in the front portion of the brain. It plays a role in emotions and memories. Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team (Source: Skodol Wilson, H. and Ren Kneisl, C. Psychiatric Nursing

Agoraphobia

Hello moca and welcome, You have come to the right place! Regarding how to deal with your agroaphobia, you may wish to try some of the relaxation techniques such as deep breathing. This is easy to do and can be very effective. Not only does it keep your blood well-oxygenated, it helps to clear your thinking too. -you can sit, lie or stand, keep your back straight -keep one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen -visualize your lungs filling with air as you inhale, you should feel your shoulders move up as your chest rises and fills with air -exhale through your mouth by blowing gently -remember to keep your facial muscles relaxed Everyone is an individual and as such may need to vary the duration and frequency of this technique. Please continue to explore this site and it's many great supportive features. Keep us posted with your progress, we look forward to hearing from you soon. Concert Last Night!!

Dear cdg, Please see this as positive learning experience. How wonderful for your daughter to have shared such an exciting time with you. Do not be "disappointed in yourself". Your husband is right, you should feel proud of your accomplishment. It doesn't matter that you needed some assistance with medication, that is what it is there for. The point is that you did it. There will be many future opportunities and you already have this one behind you and you did it successfully. Looking forward to hearing about your progress. Support Groups??

Hi cdg, I, like redface, can only suggest that you try to find one through a health care facility. Here in Canada, most family doctors have access to this type of information. That may be a good place for you to start your search. I have had expereince with these types of groups and some people really benefit from them. I wish I had more specific information for services in your area. Hope to hear from you soon, Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team
