Good Monday morning Ex :)
Well hon all went well last night ! WOO HOO !
No dreams, no sleep disturbances .. just a good sound,
deep sleep ;)
Even though I wore the patch to bed I did wake up 'thinking' about
a cig, but I know that's perfectly normal. In time there will
be a NEW 'normal' and I just have to wait for that time and be
patient. Take it all one day at a time.
How are you doing today Ex ?
Hey Phil.. your avatar is very graphic ! Sends a clear message !
So you had bad nightmare's with the patch huh ? That is what I
had feared, but I don't want to go through what I did yesterday
morning in the wee hours - up at 2 a.m. climbing the walls with
a horrible craving :( Btw, what the heck is a 'nozzly thing'? LOL!
Into day 3 :p and time to slap on a new patch :)
Have a super non smoking Monday !

Hello Tresa :)
Well things are coming along pretty good. I wore the
patch all night last night and didn't have any of the dreams
or sleep disturbances that I've read may happen and I slept
like a baby - incidence free !
I've been keeping myself distracted but without driving myself
into the ground with exhaustion. I take breaks and simply chill
with my healthy snacks and drinking lots of water.
Also, as a side note - I'm making sure that I don't look past
the moment or the day I'm in.. taking my non smoking journey
ONE DAY AT A TIME ! To look too far into the future doesn't
seem (for me) to be the way to go. I also try to stay positive
and look at this journey as a most personal one therefore
celebrating a variety of 'moments' where I DIDN'T smoke, but in
past 'moments' I most certainly would have :)
I have found this site to be so excellent. I've searched a
variety of posts pertaining to things such as moods, depression,
celebration etc etc... and it's been totally amazing !
Thanks for checking on me.. that's a very special thing you did !

Yes Aloha I saw Phil's avatar of lungs on another thread
made larger and the one on the left is a smoker's lung,
the one on the right is the same lung 90 days smoke free !
It does get nice and pink :)
I woke up this morning (with patch on from yesterday morning)
with an incredible craving :( Patch had passed it's 24 hr
mark and OMG what a rotten feeling ! :8o: Thank goodness I discarded ALL cig's, or else I would have lit up for sure.
I immediately put on a fresh patch, ate my breakfast and did
some deep breathing exercises. AND I let out some A A A A A's !
Making these primal sounds really helps me out a lot... Am very
sure that my neighbours can hear me .. LOL !
Cravings have calmed down a lot and now going to get some
light chores done. It isn't a good day for a walk - so hot and
humid :(
Ex - How are you doing this morning ?
When you have a chance let me know.. And yes, I do wish the
time were further along, but I don't want to think about it
and just keep taking it moment to moment.

Tresa and Nonic - Thanks so much for your words of
encouragement and support !
I wrote in another thread (Coping with cravings) about
this morning's cravings due to the patch passing it's
24 hr mark.. over 3 hrs passed.. and oh boy it wasn't
a good thing. But I was able to 'contain' that sucker
and did some deep breathing exercises, drank lots of
water and walked around and it pretty much passed :)
I am trying to rise above this.. in fact I try not to
think about not smoking. That's where my distractions
play a very important part for my journey.
Once again, your words of support are most appreciated :)
Have a super smoke free Tuesday :p

Thank you Lamplighter and Tresa for your moral support !
Yes, I'm doing it.. WOO HOO ! I'm making sure that I
have my coping tools close by and I just keep telling
myself that when I feel a crave, or get a little confused
(this confusion seems to come often) that I am BETTER
than that nicodemon and that I AM in TOTAL control :)
It really helps me get through the rough spots. Plus
as I've said over and over again, just taking it one moment
one day at a time.
I've been keeping very busy indoors with a variety of hobbies
and light cooking. I have a void of time here right now
and that's when I come here to express my feelings.. and the
real PLUS is when someone/or other's responds to my posts
and gives me support and advice !
Thanks again.. off I go to make a nice cold ice tea ;)
