I wanted to make sure I made it through my first day before I started bragging, but here I am halfway through my second day and I am striong. I haven't been making a big deal about this, just gonna do it. again. I smoked my first cig when I was about 9 and by 13 I was regular. I quit on three different occasions once for 10 months, another for 2 months and two years ago I stopped for nearly two years! But one cigarette was all it took and I was back. My dad died at 45 from high blood pressure and he was a semi heavy smoker. I have several kids and I owe it to them to be there. My friend led me here and I like what I see so far. Thanks! Jon

My main technique is pretty stubborn. I had two years of success with it last time. I basicall look at smoking as a yes or no question. You either smoke or you don't. Sounds simple and dumb but it's me. Another silly thing I would do is hold my hand up and wiggle my pinky and ask myself "Who's moving your pinky? You are..." Sounds silly but it helped me stay in control. Only I can make or break this. I also go about my life as normal. Same friends, hang outs, smokers or not. I am the king of this castle.

I cried the first night when I realized it was gonna be real. I cryed good. Mainly because I was so enraged that something had brought me to my knees like smoking. I felt like an idiot. But I eventually gained composure let bygones be bygones and kept going. 'Keep going' that's what I have to do.
