Only everyone that has ever quit! I am a repeat quitter myself. Or I should say was a repeat quitter. I too thought that I wanted to smoke but it was just I didn't want the withdrawl's. If you could just lay them down and walk away with no problems would you? I think you would. Be strong, stay strong and this is the best place for you. Everyone on here will support you when you feel weak and make you laugh when you feel down. Good luck and best wishes....Wendi

That was a scary thing for me too. Reading some of the posts that had some 300+ days on their quit and still craving but then it was pointed out to me by a great supporter that everyone is different. There was a lot of crying in the beginning of my quit also but it does pass. Hang in there, it is sooo worth the fight. And remember....the fight is short compaired to the rest of your life.

This is really starting to turn around for me. It has only been about 17 days but I am feeling so much better. I really hadn't noticed my quit meter the last couple of days but I really paid attention to it today and oooh my goodness I couldn't believe how many cigarettes I would have smoked. That is disgusting. I still have the occational crave and those stupid lingering thoughts every now and then but I just count to ten, love on Maddie or Lily (my puppies), grab one of the daycare kids and love all over them, play bingo with my daughter, just anything and POOF! gone. I was very self doughtful and even had some self pity that I couldn't/wouldn't/shouldn't make it through my quit.
Then my husband and all of you pointed out to me that was the nicotine talking not my senses.
Just had to get the good feeling out that it is starting to finally turn around the corner for me and feeling great. Thanks everyone
But if anyone out there has a supportive thought please share because I know I am not out of the clear yet and I always re-read your posts if I am having a bad day.

I had a bad one the other night.....It was the first time Rob and I had "been together" since our quit. I had been afraid cause that was always a big one for me. Right after the good stuff, nothing was better than a cigarette and a cuddle. Then I realized that again I was letting the cigarette stand in the way of something I enjoyed.
Anyway, afterwords, it was great! More cuddle time, not having to worry about dropping ashes on each other. And we both weren't out of breath (in a bad way) and our bed didn't smell like an ashtray anymore.
It just seems to be getting better and better.

I was wondering where you went the last couple days. Just to let you know I am always home if you need someone to talk with. Hit me on I.M. I may not always show on line but I am. Had a couple rough days myself so I can understand what you are going through. Hold on and do your best.....
