Two weeks ago I was where Jan is...one incredibly long 3 day headache...Nausea +++ I just wanted to vomited... and and incredible sense of knowing that smoking was AWFUL.
I jumped back on the wagon and fast, because I knew if I smoked one more day, I couldn't guarantee how long till I would try again. I knew it was going to be painful AGAIN - hell week. I knew I had to do whatever it took in order to stay quit.
Lady talks about embracing the quit. I know in my heart of hearts that being quit is what I want. I am not going to take that away from me. I deserve to be free, and free is what I am. I am no longer a slave. It is a precious feeling.
Take the plunge!

Wow! Your pain is coming through loud and clear in your post and I feel for you. I have had thoughts like this recently too, but I have caught myself in time saying how utterly ridiculous that "junkie thinking" is.
I hear that you are lonely and obviously very afraid, but you are not alone - absolutely not. I am here and a lot of other people, who are better friends than any person you could meet on the street corner who smokes. (I don't know of anyone who has made a lifelong friend by asking to bum a smoke or a light)
From what you have gone through, you are obviously a very courageous. Quitting smoking was probably one of the most courageous things you have done. Don't throw in the towel. It will be very hard to forgive yourself and then you will have just added to your list of things to feel sorry about.
Grab my hand
I'm here for you!
Judy
