To those who quit in March 07

Hempfriend, You said you are on zyban, having any side affects? when you go off it do you have to taper off? My dr. wants me to do the patch and wellbutrin, I have so many side affects from meds. the wellbutrin scares me so bad, but I also want to have as easy a time with withdraw as possible, I have used the patch when I have flown about 8 hrs. and they sure helped but may have been that I knew when I landed I could smoke?????? q day 3/27 so I am also going to be a March-mellow. I love we have our own march group!!!!! thrilled about it feels like more personal support. Thanks much luck to you and prayers. Bobbi

Triggers

Hey lookingglass, When I read your post it was like I wrote it everything in my life is a trigger, as I have smoked for 50 years SO I should be so busy trying to find subs. for all the things that cause triggers I should never have the withdraws, yeah right lol lol. We can do it!!!!!!!!! Let me know if you find things to change from what you did to what you do now. and I will do the same. my q-date is 3/27. Thanks, Bobbi

To those who quit in March 07

Hi, my name is Bobbi my q-date is 3/27 it is so good to see all the march quitters here, is anyone quitting on the 27th? I am even more excited to know we can have a group of March quitters, makes me feel more connected and even more support!!!! Thrilled about this!!!!!! Now where will we meet, in other words know where each other is at? Don't want to lose this group! I like the name March-mellows. Be sure to let me know if that is what we will be called. I am from Indiana, have smoked for 50 years, stupid years! I am going to use the patch. Tried cold turkey the last three times, never again that way. Reason for going back to smoking weight gain, but this time I have been reachering for about two months, joined a gym at the hosp. I have to have better luck with the weight this time, it WILL NOT make me go back to smoking again but it would just add to my happiness of being a non-smoker and also not gain weight. Please ALL of you Marchers Please keep in touch, you just don't know what an uplift this has given me, has taken alot of my being scared and nervous away. Thanks, Bobbi :)

Hi I am new here, my quit date is 3/27

Hi my name is Bobbi, from Indiana, this will be my fourth quit, have smoked for 50 years, stupid years! The last times I quit was cold turkey, never again, this time I am going to try the patch. my dr. wants me to use wellbutrin and the patch, but I have soooo many side affects with meds. to scared to try wellbutrin. The reason I went back to smoking was weight gain, gained 33 lbs. in 6 mo. and I really have a thing about weight. also I did walk, ate healthy as I do now, and excercised. This time I have joined a gym at the hosp. will give it a try. I WANT TO NOT SMOKE SO BAD! my husband quit 37 years ago and only have one friend who smokes and I am not around her very much, also I do not smoke in my home or in my car, so that is a help. Right now I have soooo much stress my mother-in-law who lives close, is in bad health and also my parent's who live 3 hrs. away, have been going to help out with them alot. but I just have to quit! Just wish things weren't so stressful as it will be hard enough just quitting. wish I had done this a few weeks ago when things were not bad here.I felt so happy then, not to much now! Hope to hear from you all! I need alot of support, well we all do when we quit. Thanks, Bobbi
