Will get back on the board when I get back. will miss everyone, you all could telepathy me hugs and support through out my absence, would be so appreciated and I will do the same to all my march mellow buddies! SCARED

Hey Sherri, Well it wasn't that long ago that I wrote the same message I AM SO SCARED! and it did scare me soooo bad I would be awake all night worring, crying etc. you name it I did it, and several on this board said the fear of quitting is so much worse then when you finally make up your mind and really do it and boy have I ever found out they were right!!!!!!! at the time I sure thought yeah right they just don't know, but yes they and I do to know now that I have quit! I couldn't be happier, and yes there has been some bad times but oh so worth it and as the days go by is even more happy! I am using the patch, had smoked for 50 years, one of the best choices I have made in my life! this is my 4th try and will be the last one!!!!!! FOR SURE! I am here if you need to talk as are many other wonderful people, I have been on other smoking cessation site but this is the best one in my book! Go to MY LUNG USA info on all you need to help you quit, have work sheets, also another good one is trytostop.org. hope these help. Hang in there you can do it!!!!!!! Prayers and hugs sent to you! March quitters -Meet the March Mellows

I really like the Mighty March Mellows! and that we are!!!!!! Alohakeia, no this is not the first time I have quit, is the 3rd time, first for a week, second for two weeks, third time for 6 mo. the last time I started because of weight gain, 33 lbs. in 6 mo. this time nothing will get me to go back. Today has really been rough, got a call from my youngest sister and the sister right under me is having by-pass surgery in the morn. she has 5 blockages, both sisters and my parent's live about 3 hrs. away, also over the week end my mother fell and has two broken ribs, my mother and father are not in good health, live alone with the sister who is having the surgery, is main one to care for them, as I have said before I make regular trips down to help take care. SSSSS guess I will be going again but with three to take care of this time!!!!!! and with not smoking now I am really stressed, so has really been hard, have wanted a cig. so many times throughout the day, have kept telling myself a cig would not make the problem go away, said have to think like a non-smoker, of course I talked to my friend today and she said well thats fine but a nonsmoker isn't also having to deal with also saying no to a cig. I will not smoke!!!!!!!!!!! but could sure use some support! also my husband is upset that I will have to go to help out as I really have been gone alot! so just makes it alittle bit harder. I am just going to bed shortly so I don't have to think about it for now, give my wee brain a rest for the day. lol Prayers and hugs to all March Mellows. I am using the patch, smoked for 50 years and stupid ones at that! this is my 4th time to quit, did cold turkey before but never again , the reason I started back the last time was I gained 33 lbs. in 6 mo. this time I have a whole new plan and sure hope it works because I will NEVER smoke again!
