Diva news...

Hi Ya Diva:

Sounds like you had quite a challenging time this weekend, family matters can become quite entangled.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

stressful days :(

Hi Ya Karla:

I agree with you about not giving relaxation techniques a chance because I too fall into that category.  I have read a lot about the benefits of relaxation when incorporated into your daily life.  I am going to try & incorporate it more.

I have heard about the Bach remedies from what I have read they have been around for quite some time.  This is just my opinion but with the baby now you might want to check with your doctor before trying any.  Mods what do you think?

Lousy Day

Hi Ya Karla:

Well the day didn't start off to good then it went downhill from there.  You see the class I had today is all about working in groups & I'm not comfortable in groups especially with new people.  So we get put into groups and are given questions to come to a consensus on, well needless to say one person dominated the whole process.  If you didn't agree with that person you had give your explanation why.  I was supposed to have another class later in the afternoon but I was so upset I just came home & called it a day.

The professors didn't intervene in anyway, all the ground rules that were laid at the beginning of the class around respecting each others opinions went out the window.  You know what I am there to learn and eventually get back to work, it's a daily struggle but throwing us into a situation where this sort of thing is bound to happen to me is unacceptable.  They cannot expect someone who is a quiet individual to be comfortable in this environment, in fact it could have the opposite affect and make the person worse.

I am going to email my professors about this incident as I do not want to be in a position like that again.

Lousy Day

Me again:

Not been a good night either, feeling very light-headed, dizzy & just all around not right.  Of course whipping myself into a frenzy by telling myself there is something really wrong with me doesn't help any. My mum said it's because of the events of today even though I'm not thinking about it she said I could be unconsciously - what a smart person she is.  I swear mum has been reading one of my numerous books on the disorder, I kid her about this.  She told me I have too much time on my hands at night and should stay off the computer & of course she's right about that too - well at least I should limit my time - after all I have to check in with you guys right?

Oh well I guess I'll sign off now & try to find something to busy myself with, who knows I might even get to enjoy doing something else.  That's a scary thought - ha, ha.

Lousy Day

Hi Ya Karla:

Thanks for your input.

Last night I comprised an email to my professors & then I remembered that I read about not to send things like letters or emails in the heat of the moment.  So I have saved it as a draft, I am going to send it but it needs re-worded.

Lousy Day

Hi Ya Karen:

You know what the guidelines were already established last week in our first class.  Shortly after that people were already breaking them and also each class I could be in a different group.  It just happened that one of the most dominant people was in my group this time - lucky me.

As for recuperating, I'm afraid today wasn't much better.  It really affected me what happened yesterday, I am more on edge (if that's possible I was bad enough before)

I honestly feel as if my life is falling apart at the seams, I just can't take anymore of this emotional roller coaster & neither can my poor mum.  Not only does she have to deal with me but my dad who has dementia and is driving us crazy.  So you see for us life right now is becoming intolerable.  I have overcome so much since last year and all without meds, but now to have this happen is just too much.

I told my mum it's like what our next door neighbor did which I found reprehensible.  He  owns the house and rents the first floor to a pleasant fellow who has the friendliest pit bull I have ever seen.  The owner of the house has a twit of a dog who bit my mum before we moved in.  Well I was appalled one day when the owner told me there was a staged dog fight between the 2 dogs because they didn't get along.  They both had muzzles on and fought, The end result was the sweetie of a pit bull won the fight and you know what the 2 dogs have never been the same since.  The pit bull who never used to bark now barks quite a bit and the other twit who used to bark all the time doesn't bark as much.  My point in this lenghty story is that the dogs were forced to do something and the result has been a change in both of them.  I have been told by the owner of the house that their dog is now frightened of the pit bull.

The moral of this story is when you put something/someone in a situation that they do not want to be in the first place a change can take place and in my case it was for the worse.  Even though I'm not constantly thinking about what happened I know it has affected me. I just feel I can't handle things anymore & this gets me really down because I was doing well.
