Hey smokerella
Welcome and get ready for some wonderful people to support you! I have made it thru hell week and heck week and know that without the support I have found here, it would not have happened! Hang in There and remember: If you feel the urge to light one up, pop online, get to this website ASAP and post a note, wait for a few replies before you cave. I have done that over and over and have yet to cheat by lighting one up. We are all in the same boat here, no judgements, just people helping people.
Wow! What a concept! ;-)

Thanks, Unhooked, you make some very valid points. I also think it should be pointed out that although these topics of discussion are "old hat" to many of you, some of us "newbies" still need this conversation, and who better to advise us than the ones that have already "been there, done that" And for your comments based on your experiences, we thank you.

Rock on, Bear!! Proud of you! I think that one of the best things I have noticed so far is the fact that my clothes don't stink anymore!! And, I sure can smell it on the people that do still smoke, far more so than I ever realized when I was a smoker.
(Jeez, isn't that past tense "was a smoker" great?)
Congratulations!!

Hi Joy I understand exactly what you are talking about. I have gained eight pounds in 2 weeks!! But, I am still sticking with it, and no matter how many times you hear about ice water and celery sticks those first few weeks...well, I know that is not what it is taking for me to stop those cravings! Chocolate seems to be my new drug of choice! HaHa! But, I am trying to be more aware of every single thing I put in my mouth. I think that has helped more than anything, just being aware of exactly what I am eating.
Hang in There!
