carebare, my husband had the endescope procedure and said it was no big deal. I had to have a colonoscopy this past summer to make sure everything was ok with my colon and it is no big deal either. I was terrified and felt really silly afterwards. If you are to frightened to be put to sleep, they now have the new virtual colonoscopy where you stay awake the whole time. It's kind of like an MRI and it's supposed to be more accurate in detecting abnormalities. Plus you don't have to drink that horrible laxative that puts you on the toilet for hours and hours. The more you fret and worry about what you have the worse it is going to get, once you see your doctor and they rule any problems out you'll feel so much better. Also, my doctor said for me to eat lots of fiber to help control my diahrrea and to avoid all fast food, fried foods, coffee and dairy products. Drink fibercon or metamucil everyday this also helps.
