Hi Lawchick, I had the same problem exercising too. I actually had a panic attack a few weeks back while walking which has triggered off my agoraphobia again. (Although instead of staying in the panic and dealing with it, recognising that it wasn't going to hurt me, I bolted down the road to my car!!) I think its hard to exercise because the symtoms we have when having a panic attack are the same as when we exercise eg: heart rate speeds up, body temperature increases, sweating etc. I personally think its all about what you tell yourself. Its very normal for these things to happen to the body when we're exercising, we just associated it with panic and stop for fear of going into a panic attack. So your not alone I've had the same problem, I just try to tell myself I'm not panicking and that its normal for my body to have those symptoms when I'm exercising, sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
