I have my cholesterol down to 3.7 from a high of 7.4 Canadian numbers. One more point to go if possible.

I've decided to distance myself from the world of anxiety in the new year. If you don't hear from me know i'm happy And doing fine.

Happy New Year and may you be as free as I am.

I have been house bound because my driveway has been rain on top of ice. It snowed a bit and if it is still froze in the morning I'll go to town, and to the store and stock up.
Sorry Red, I ate the cookies, I'll make more. Next ones are a traditional filled oatmeal molasses cookie. I have mince meat tarts to make too. Mock mince meat, made from apples and green tomatoes. 0 cholesterol since the pastry is made with Canola oil. Makes up for my steamed suet pudding that is high cholesterol, high saturated fat and high GI. Lemon sauce for it is just high GI. I don't use eggs in the sauce.
Today I had fish, lasagna and chilli, all have cholesterol but I had small servings plus my oatmeal without milk for breakfast.

Where is my snow. I went out in that storm yesterday and today was nice. I shovelled the melting snow off the deck so it won't freeze. Phaaaa. It is going to rain next week. Send it to California, they need it. I like snow. (cause I'm an idiot, no because I need it in the spring to fill my ponds). Four feet of snow by spring would be nice.

Don't tell me we don't have global warming, we are consistently 4-8 degrees above normal temps.
I think I need a cookie.

It is snowing, wet snow and it is windy. I'm going out in it anyway and hope the highway is just wet, not slush. It will probably be slush by the store if it wasn't cleaned last night. about four inches of fresh stuff so far. Yuk.
It is okay to feel yuk.

PS, Tourists will be in their glory, it will be thick powder at higher elevations. I remember logging when it was snowing like this. Some things are best remembered not done any more.

The more expensive meters test both total cholesterol and triglycerides. Mine was 145.00.  Be cheaper in the US where it came from.

If you give me two weeks to get it here, I'll let you know if it is any good. I'm getting a collection of different meters. Two for BP/pulse, one for pulse/O2 sat, one for blood sugar, and one for cholesterol/triglycerides.

Davit, It may be hard to imagine but I forgot to mention one very important thing in my previous long winded post:) Ha Ha! That it took a few months for me to see positive results in my lipid panel from the diet changes that I made but they did improve quite a bit. It just takes time. I have changed and modified my diet many times during this process. There is Lots of trial and error in the process but change is good...and I do let myself have a piece of cake on special occasions....and a little a bit ice cream here and there...Red..

Davit, I didn't know they had a home meter test kit for Cholesterol. I may have to get on of those meters. Does it test triglycerides too? That's where my major problem lies. It Runs in my family. I do have a test meter for A1c and it works very well too. I did a A1c test at home before seeing my primary doctor last time and her test results came out a tiny bit lower than mine. So I trust the results from the home meter. I am sure my triglycerides are up a bit right now because I have been eating more bread and potatoes lately due to my gastric issues but once I find out what's wrong after tomorrows test than maybe they can decide how to treat it and I can got back to my healthy diet. I just gave up chicken and am eating fish instead which should be good for both my lipid panel and my gastric issues. I think the antibiotics in poultry may be making me sick. Any way who knows for sure, our food supply is so screwed up now that I am beginning to wonder if it is safe to eat anything. The last russet potatoes I bought had something strange growing under the skins. So now I am buying rose potatoes and I also peel all my vegetable to cut down on the pesticides before I cook and eat them...Red...

I'm in a lot of back pain. Taking Tylenol makes me drowsy and unfocused, which seems like the similar condition without taking it, except I'm aware of my surroundings. I don't know if I'll ever get this snowblower purchased. I began to consider dropping the whole, thing, since I could just drop it, and shovel less, more slowly...but then the money will go to the people fixing my back: acupuncturist/chiropractor....
