Horrible Nausea - Help!

Hi Tony and welcome, I know that other members will be responding to your post soon to share similar experiences. I just wanted to suggest that since you are seeing your doctor tomorrow you may want to explore this site to see if any of the tools available might assist while at the doctors' or even for future appointments. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When youre finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Please keep us posted and let us know how you are doing. Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Deep Breathing Suggestions?

Hi Chanda, Learning how to do deep breathing exercises is very important. Not only does it keep your blood well-oxygenated, it helps to clear your thinking too, thereby reducing stress. Surprisingly, many of us have a hard time doing breathing exercies correctly and do not fill thier lungs to their full capacity. It does however get easier with practice. -you can sit, lie or stand, keep your back straight -keep one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen -visualize your lungs filling with air as you inhale, you should feel your shoulders move up as your chest rises and fills with air -exhale through your mouth by blowing gently -remember to keep your facial muscles relaxed Everyone is an individual and as such may need to vary the duration and frequency of this technique. Keep us posted with your progress, we look forward to hearing from you soon. Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team Reference: C. Ren Kneisl, Psychiatric Nursing.

Feeling "out of it"

Hi Simon, I just wanted to say, you don't have to apologize for long posts. That is what this site is all about - sharing your experiences and feelings. What is concerning about your post is your reference to increasing thoughts of self destruction and being discouraged from previous experiences with medications. It sounds as if you did not have a good experience with your psychiatrist or medications in the past. Please do not let these issues deter you from seeking medical assistance now. Let your doctor know what you are going through, and about your hesitancy with medications and lack of help from your psychiatrist. They may be able to recommend something/someone new. You are not alone in your reported symptoms of feeling unsure and nervous in unexpected situations. Fellow members will be responding to your post soon. Be sure to keep us posted with how things are going. Hope to hear from you soon. Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

trying to overcome with no medication

Hi Alice, Welcome to the site. In your message you report feeling nervous about seeing your doctor. Please do not let this deter you from seeking medical assistance. Talk to your doctor. Let him/her know how you are feeling and what you are afraid of. I am not sure I entirely understand your statement about the cure being worse than the disease. Are your referring to side-effects of medications as not everyone experiences these in the same way. Regarding our site - please feel free to roam at your own pace.
