I did come in before I lite up........I waited and waited for a response. I guess maybe because I posted on another thread..(you know, added on to one) ...that I didn't get a reply. I'm not blaming or accusing anyone either, so please don't think that. It was my own fault and I'm owning up to that. Just as it was my own fault I lit up in the first place. Where did I get the cigs??? Like an idiot, I bought a pack. again, no excuse, no reason, just a dumb move on my part.
It didn't make me feel any better having had one...it's just made me feel weak. I know addiction is a weakness..but I want to become stronger over it. I pray that I will..........NO!!!! I KNOW I will, just have to keep praying for the strength. I AM NOT giving UP!!! I WILL SUCCEED!!!
I want to thank you all for being there for me and not condemning me. (Note I didn't say you condoned what I did, just didn't condemn)
I look forward to the day when I can overcome this pity party for me, move on and be as supportive as you all down the road to others who are quitting or trying to quit and say I've been there and have been successful. You all are wonderful examples that it can be done.

ok...what I've done is not give up, but change my start day to 8/1. I just want to start fresh in my mind and spirit about the stopping. (not just give me more time, which is something that I mulled over in my mind) I'm not going to let guilt lead me. But, I also work a normal shift that day so my defenses won't be down when the "attack" happens.
Don't give up on me yet PLEASE.........I'm not. :)

I love the idea of pretending to be smoking. taking the deep breath in and blowing out.....my only concern is would it be re-enforcing the habit??? Just wondering...cause I like the idea. :)

Okkeyyyy, I totally feel off yesterday. I went against my better thoughts and bought a pack of cigs. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I'm so upset with me. AND of course, being the true addict that I am...I can't just get rid of the stupid pack. So, to keep things real here and be honest with you all and myself.....I reset my profile and will start ALL OVER AGAIN tomorrow. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR *kick kick kick*

Good for you Steve for not giving in to the mind. I'd say change stations maybe, but then we can't just pretend things aren't there anymore....we have to try to fit our new life into some old things too.
