My Rewards List

I am posting this mostly to myself...but to anyone else that wants to join it might be fun seeing all the different rewards out there. This might also help new members find rewards that they like. I am posting this so that I have something to stick to ;) plus who doesn't like rewards!!!! Join me if you like. I may be excessive here and may not follow through with every single reward but it was fun compiling a list! Please do not feel like you have to spend money to reward yourself as it can be done with little to no money, but I guess I'm just in a spending type of mood lately and hey I can justify anything as long as I can justify staying a non smoker which is pretty easy to do! My Reward System 60 Day Reward: Dinner and a movie with 3 very special girlfriends! (their support during this time was nothing short of amazing!) 70 Day Reward: New Eye Shadow 80 Day Reward: 1 Hr Massage 90 Day Reward: New Bamboo Plant 100 Day Reward: New Wok for cooking 180 Day Reward: Small piece of jewellery 270 Day Reward: 2 large plant planters for the garden 365 Day Reward: New digital camera (I've wanted this for a long time) 2 Yr Anniversary: Mini Vacation with my spouse Mini rewards in between: new nail polish, manicure/pedicure, movie and junk food night, sleeping in on the weekends, new books, picking up small bouquets of flowers from the supermarket, long hot soaks in the tub, and going out for dinner or out to a movie. Now some of these do cost money and lately I have been splurging on everything, but for now that is okay. The best reward is looking at that meter and seeing the days go by, then noticing how my body feels so amazing from not smoking! This is the best reward that I could get. My body thanks me every day! Hope you had fun, I sure did, and now I look forward to remaining a non smoker and rewarding myself! Took a jog this morning.....

What an excellent reward! It will be well deserved. Trust me I am still far from reaching my running potential or even desire, but I have a feeling that it will grow on me just like quitting smoking did. I am by no means the most motivated person but I would love to see if I can set a challenge and achieve it. Was the website the sister site of this one or a different one? I would be amazed if I could train myself to run 3-5 miles in even 3 months. Thanks for your support and see you on here often. My Rewards List

I agree that the best reward is my meter. The small rewards are easier when you are a woman as nail polish or makeup can be under $10 and it's something that you may have purchased even if you were a smoker. The one thing I do find funny is that I guess I was spending money I didn't really have on smoking as I don't feel like I have a whole lot more money but I certainly can tell a difference. Even if I can't save a single dime I am much happier as a non smoker. I guess eventually my finances will catch up with my quitting, but for now I'll keep doing the small rewards. Oh and my massage is covered 80% through work so it cost almost less than a pack of smokes! The Journey continues!!

Just make sure to follow it right to the end of program otherwise you might find a craving sneaking up on you! That's what happened to me, so I knew I wasn't ready to quit the patch halfway through just to save money, I am glad at this point that I made that decision. Good for you, hell week is almost over! Keep up the good work! My Rewards List

Great job Moss on putting the money aside, I still don't feel like I have any excess cash even though i quit smoking 60 days ago so maybe I have to re-evaluate where my money is going! I hope it's not all going to rewards, although I don't think so. (and if it is, I don't feel too bad about it yet) I will start putting some money aside starting today, and will label the account "rewards". Thanks for the tip on that! I am sure your wife will love going on a vacation with a non-smoker and I believe you really really do deserve it! Keep up the great work! My Rewards List

Mercy, I am really happy to hear that you were able to find ways to reward yourself no matter how little the cost. I am sure you appreciated your new lotion much more as a non smoker, and it's nice to splurge on something you have to buy anyway!
