I know what you co-worker went through. I quit for 1 3/4 years. Then I was deployed. I didn't last to long without a smoke. Now I back to ex-smoker and loving it. The addiction is a very tricky one, never let your guard down.

I've been lurking for awhile and I've never really introduced myself.
I did quit for 1 3/4's, then I was deployed overseas and after just a little bit a fell back into smoking (only myself to blame on that one).
Now I've quit again (yes I am still overseas) and when I head home I'm heading back to a compelely new landscape of life. My soon to be ex-wife has moved on, my daughter has gained 2 years of life that I have missed and I have to re-adjust back to normal life.
I may need all the help you can give me :)

I've lost count of how many times I've tried to quit, one time I made it for 6 Months, one time I made it to 1 3/4 years. This time, I know I'm done.
Learning is the key, everytime that crave/trigger comes up, pause and ask yourself why? Think about, then tell yourself I'm not going to smoke today and move on, don't dwell on the craving though! Acknowledge it and move on. Dwelling on it is a bad thing.

Flodia,
Your doing amazing! Like I tell myself, if I smoke I start over from day 0, all of the effort I've put toward my quit is shot.
I know what the first few weeks are like (all too well from the amount of times I quit smoking), I'm not going through it again. When the crave hits I just tell myself that.
Good luck and hang in there :)
