Lady,
Thanks for your words of support.
I'm hanging in by a thread...but at least at this moment the thread is still holding!

I'm finding this website & everyone's writings to be soooo helpful. Right now, every single minute is a struggle and then an accomplishment for me.
Question.... I have to admit, my Nicodemon is kind of plotting a relapse in my head....thinking about this weekend. Any advice on how to stop this evil voice? The mental challenge is incredibly difficult.
But, I've made it into Day 3, and what I'm hearing is that it gets a little better after the first three days....I pray that this is true!

Rusty,
Wow! You are very inspiring to me. You have a lot of time under your belt after 40 years of smoking! What was your personal motivation for quitting?

DD -
Yeah - the mind games are really messing with me.
How many days do you have?

I've made it to Day 4.
The past 4 days have been beyond Hell. I could list all of the physical & mental ways I've felt tortured, and in a bunch of postings I've done just that. But...........
Late last night I made a decision.
I've got to stop obsessing, thinking, and talking about all of the negatives I'm experiencing - I think I've been over-indulgent in this "poor me" self-drama. My withdrawal symptoms & cravings have overtaken my identity this week.
I need to try to focus on the positives & living now.
So, this is my goal.

Pam,
Thank you. Your words of encouragement and guidance really do help...a lot in fact!
I'll hang in there with everything I've got!

Smiling,
Would sugar-free gum or candy help?
Also, I just started sucking & gnawing on tea-tree oil toothpicks -- sounds like I'm a beaver or some type of varment ...but it does help!
Just some ideas. ;p
