IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG DAY

I woke up this morning wanting a cigarette. I've been at work since 7:30 and that's all I can think of. I don't want to have one. going crazy

Kat, don't kill anyone, that will take you to prison where you will never be able to quit smoking. Hi Hi. I started out pretty bad today. Not so bad now. I just had lunch, went for a walk. I read your other post about being in the restaurant business I guess I'm lucky in Canada we can't smoke in public places even in restaurant outside patios. It kind of makes it easier. You have to walk with a cigarette which I was brought up thinking it's not ladylike. This site has helped me so far. Let's all help each other. It's been 7 days again?

Hi there, it's been 7 days again? This time it has not been too bad. I was on vacation from Aug 7 to Aug 18. I did not smoke the first 6 days then I was home alone and smoked. I stopped again and it's been 7 days. I really want this. It scares me. Alot of people around me are dying of cancer. You read it in the paper all the time. Did I already do the damage. Is it worth it? Yesterday I was scared. I had this pain between my shoulder blades. My right arm felt numb. I'm trying again

My name is H. I have been with my hubby 27 years and married 17 years with two kids, boy 12 girl 15. I have been trying to quit for years. I was a closet smoker. I would smoke when no one knew to look. My hubby thought I quit a long time ago. Every now and then he would find a butt or smell it on me and question me and I would say I just had one. Which of course was not true. I feel pretty bad about lying. I have to make this stick. It is consuming my free time. When I'm alone I smoke outside, I make excuses not to go out with them so I could squeeze a few cigs then go and take a shower so no one can smell it on me. I'm only deceiving myself. I know. It has been since June 26 this time, so far so good. Yesterday was a bad one. I bought a chocolate bar instead of having a cig. Well that's who I am. I need everyone's help. I really want to do this.

Calling Closet Smokers

Hi I'm H. i am a closet smoker as well, I have been married for 17 years but been with hubby for 27. Two kids boy 12 girl 14. I would smoke when no one would look. I would lie about my clothe smelling of smoke and blamed it on my coworkers or friends. I would find excuses not to go places and stay home and smoke then take a quick shower so that my hubby would not smell it on me. It felt terrible to lie. I would get caught every so often and I would promise to quit and said it was just a relapse. Again I lied. Now it's been 13 days. It feels great.
