Survived 2 nights...getting pretty cranky :(

Hi Loripie- we have all done the cranky times so you're in good company. I used to find I could hear myself being a you know what and so I used to try and pull the reins in on myself. But my darling daughter and husband are just so over the moon I have quit that I am guessing they were either counting to ten or biting their tongues!! Either way they understood the mood swings and tolerated them- so as I said, you're not alone and it will pass believe me.

Difficult trigger

Ron that must have been tough- but hey you didnt cave in to the craving and as hard as it was you did it, you beat it. I am not able to offer alternative trigger advice any different to the advice already posted but I did just want to say I was so proud that you didnt give in to the cravings and what must have been a very close call- well done Ron

Are Your Stats a Motivation to Stay Quit?

I love watching my stats go up and up! Also I am doing a quit smoking clinic at my doctors and the stats are useful when the Doctor asks me 'how many days?' I can tell him exactly thanks to my quit meter.

50 is my number!!

Thanks again all- well today was my 51st birthday and my 1st smoke free birthday- and you know what it was terrific........... I didnt miss old Nic at all.
Had a really good day out with Paul and Chelsey, and then went out for dinner this evening. But even on my birthday I can't not call in on my special friends at SSC- without you guys as you know I wouldn't be here celebrating my very first birthday as an official non smoker and boy does that feel good.
Thank you all, and join me in raising my glass to your very good health with my love and gratitude.................. and Jim so good to see you- you were there for me right on my first day here along with dear Patrick too- thank you.
