So, Beckylynn, how's it going?
Did we remember to put the patch in the middle of our forehead and tell people it's a carryover from Ash Wednesday, a new spiritual discipline?
Please let us know how you're doing.
Me, I'm down to two pills (I had a 90-day supply but kept putting off the "real" quit, so you should have seen me on Wellbutrin or whatever I have now, patches, AND three packs a day. And every day I was like, "Today is the day I quit for real. No, really. I totally mean it. This is it for me, it really is." Puff Puff, Blow Blow. And it was such a healthy and effective way to live.
I really hope you did great on Day 1. Me, I never did the whole hell-week/heck-week thing, you could say that it's more like hell-life for me. But I'm a one-day-at-a-time kind of guy, and that's what has worked for me. I will not smoke TODAY. (Just like Marivi said, only it was in Spanish so I didn't understand a word of it, did you?) I made it all the way to the 7-mg patches (if you have a Target store near you, you should get Target patches; the 21-mg are regular size, and then the 14-mgs are small. SO COOL. And the 7-mgs are TINY; I could use them as body art! Nothing like those boring old Nicoderm where one size fits all. This is really a case of less is more!)
Anyway, whatever works. Honey, if I can get this far the umpteenth time around, you most definitely can! We're all pulling for you, so let us know how you're doing, okay?
