Pleasant Activities

13 years ago 0 659 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I have been researching online sewing groups and am waiting to hear back from two.
I also ordered a instructional dvd for beginning quilters and am very excited about getting it.
I went looking at sewing machines yesterday and tried out one. I am still in the research process.
I finally got my Valium in the mail yesterday and got 7 hrs sleep last night.
I took a long shower and washed my hair today.
I am feeling very mellow today with very very little anxiety.
Today is turning out to be a very pleasant day.

Yesterday,
I relaxed and read some quilting magazines during the day, and went for a walk in the evening.

Today
I had breakfast this morning and I am planning on going for a walk later this morning.
I am working on establishing a routine, which will give me some direction and lessen my anxiety.

I went for a nice hike in the woods, and saw many little chipmunks! They are so cute and really scared of us. They scurry away really quick!

Hello sweatbee,

Excellent thread!

I rarely get the chance for me time but last week I had lucky day off:

I woke up had a lovely soak and said my prayers, very soothing for me.

Fed Ruby and took her and my 1 yr old Indy for a stroll on the beach, weather was just right, neither hot or cold.

Stopped at a greasy spoon for some breakfast. I had vegetarian breakfast, Indy had chocolate pudding and a fruit shoot and Ruby had a bowl of milk. Took a take out for Indy's Mum.

Took a drive to the shop to visit Indy's Mum and drop her breakfast off.

Went home where Indy and Ruby had 40 winks.

Sat at the laptop and done some shopping for gadgets, spent a small fortune. Got a little carried away.

Waited for the missus to come home and we ordered Dominos.

Full fat and a full fun day, felt content all day and managed to avoid a panic attack.

I was thinkings I would start this tread as a place to list our pleasant activities.  I think that having pleasant activities that we engage in may help with the anxiety/panic/ptsd.  They do this in the depression center and it helps with depression so why not with anxiety.  What are your thoughts on this?  Have you done anything pleasant that you enjoy today?  I will start with mine from yesterday.  I am still working on today.

I went for a nice walk at the lake.
I did some research on line on a new sewing machine.
I filled my bird feeders and watched the birds.
I listen to music on the radio.
My partner read me the funnies out of the newspaper
