Supporting Each Other-Today

Davit,
Thanks for the update.  I was wondering if you would be getting some in home support now that you are home.  I am glad to hear that they will be coming out to your place to help you out.  I am a retired certified nurses aid /home health aid and I know how important it is that you have this help. You have been a real trooper through it all and should give yourself a big pat on the back.  I know that you don't feel very good right now and a routine is very hard to follow.  Just go easy on yourself for now and let yourself heal do what you can and don't beat yourself up.  I am glad  to hear that you are going to let them do the house work for now.  Remember thats what they are their for to help you get well and remember to keep the home support for as long as possible.  Please keep us updated on how you are doing when you are feeling like going on line. I will keep you in my prayers.

Everyone.

I didn't exactly sail through all this unplanned exposure without some problems but I have to tell you that when the anxiety did enter it came like a kitty not like a lion like it used to. There were some pleasant things like when colleen remembered me from almost ten months ago and they see a lot of people every day in IV therapy.
So here I am at home and I have no excuse not to pick up the routine again. There will be some disruptions. I have to spend an hour attached to an IV pole. Every second day Home support will be here and I will be involved with that, but there is no reason I can not fill in the rest of the day with my normal routine, Which goes like this. I will sit outside for a cup of tea at least once a day. I will eat the meals at approximately the same time each day. I will do the dishes right after. I will not use junk food for any meal.(tough one) If I can get my shoes on my swollen feet I will spend some time in one of the greenhouses. I will not put off doing laundry. I will leave the computer alone unless I am too sore to do anything else.(this will happen some times) If I can get my shoes on I will go for a drive even if I don't have to at least twice a week till I am better. I am setting myself up for some failures so here is one more thing. I will not beat myself up when I do fail but I will post it here so I can't let it become a habit. For the time I will leave house cleaning to home support as I am still too weak.  Wish me luck I may need it.

Thank you Red:  I'm not out of the woods yet, but hoping soon.  The cold was a viral infection which lasted 3 wks. ugh. I'm enjoying your lovely photographs of flowers.  So pretty.  hope you keep up your photography because it is really good.

Good afternoon everybody,

Not much going on here today . I am still working on getting a daily routine going.

Sunny,
I am so sorry to hear are having problems with your blood pressure on top of having a cold. Taking it easy for the next few days like the doctor suggested is probably the best idea for now.  Take care and get well soon.  My thoughts and prayer will be with you.

Great work Sunny!

It is important to be able to say no sometimes.  Asserting yourself in order to self care is healthy.

Great!

Just wanted to say:  I have a bad cold right now and had volunteered for something tonight.  In the past I would have fretted about letting everyone down and forced myself to do it.  This time I telephoned, explained to them I was sick and apologized for any inconvenience.  They were very understanding and told me to get well soon.  I don't feel anxious or guilty, I feel I did the right thing.  How about that?

Good morning everybody,

Nothing new today.  I am a little tired from yesterdays exposure. I am still thinking about and trying to work on a routine. My routine does involve leaving the house to walk at least 3 days a week. I am hoping I will do better when I get rested up.  I am feeling a little axnious and tired today not sure why. Thats enough about me. How is every body else doing this morning?
