Wow, I had to go back quite a few pages to find this thread. I originally posted it on Feb. 2nd & am happy to report that on April 2nd I did it :)
My employer offered any staff who wanted it, the full replacement cost of any type of stop smoking treatment & I opted to use the patch. I was going to get the patches anyways but when the hospital said they wanted to pay for it....well, I wasn't going to argue & I let them pay ;p
I had my last cigarette April 1st (no foolin') & I honestly did not enjoy it. Other than some crazy dreams, I have had no ill effects & the best part it is, I feel great & don't want a cigarette. I found myself only once, reach for cigarettes that weren't there & it made me laugh. Had to remind myself, "Oh yeah, I don't smoke anymore."
I am not concerned about my diet because as a family, we eat very healthy. I am more concerned about the portions that I find myself eating & I am also ready to dust off the treadmill & actually start using it. I am expecting some weight gain but that's ok because I am thrilled that I haven't had a cigarette in 17 days & I haven't killed anyone because of it LOL Seriously though, I am surprised that it's going this well.
I had to pass along the good news :)
