Dear apple2003, How did you feel while you were shopping and then, how did you feel 'after' you accomplished the task? I have experienced depression along with panic attacks. Now, I deal with the depression on my own (no meds, just recognized the problems and deal with them, after at least four years of wonderful therapy, of course) - I have worked at it, and can totally deal with it - however, the panic attacks are a bit harder to deal with, I think. How does your husband feel about your panic/depression? Is he understanding or bewildered? Has he ever diminished your station in life, so to speak because of your fears, etc.? Stay in touch...

I have a real hard time with that too. I hate going to the grocery store, especially a Super Walmart. It is overwhelming. I felt real good yesterday that I actually went grocery shopping. My kids and husband were happy because I think they are tired of eating out. It made me realize that they do appreciate my efforts and my home cooked meals. It is a daily struggle though. Sometimes it is depression and sometimes anxiety or both, that holds me back. :quest:

Dear Foaped, I wish you well! I hope your new found courage and 'supportive links' of family and friends will only lead you to a point where you can control your panic attacks - and then, go even further, to live your life with emotional and psychological peace; and that something we all deserve. Stay in touch...
