I got a pretty cool reward this weekend out of the blue my dad called to let me know how proud of me he is, he quit about 15 years ago and has been truly patient with me waiting for me to quit (he is proud no matter what this just seemed like an extra).
For my 100 days I will be going back home to see my family my daughter can't wait to see me not stinkin' I'm feelin' lots of pride right now from all over the place!

I got some cds and some books for myself after about 20 days quit or so.
Yesterday I got myself some new running shoes/socks/shirt to reward myself (i really needed the shoes - my feet were killing me) - it felt good to be good to myself.
I am planning a vacation for my 100 day reward. I really want to get there.
What have you all been rewarding yourselves with?
keep on keepin' on - fish

For me, every smoke free day IS A REWARD IN ITSELF. I am grateful I am able to do it and stay quit. I am grateful I am still with clear lungs. I am grateful I'm healthy. I thank the Lord he gave me inspiration to stop killing myself. Then... there are the little daily rewards that I receive from others - like the promoter in the supermarket: "Are you a smoker? We give away a lighter if you buy two packs of..." "No, thanx, I'm not a smoker". Or my smoking friends (usually a little mean): "Are you still not smoking?" "Yes. Of course I am.". Or my non-smoking friends: "So, how's it going? Are you stii smoke free?" "Yes, I am :)"

For me just a dinner out on day 7 and a romantic candlelight dinner and hot tub with wife for 14 days. Looking at 3 day weekend somewhere nearby probably with wife at 100 days. Can't really think beyond that though.

Starbucks after every MD appointment in the city (better news each time, so far!!), a whole box full of new clothes shipped from Coldwater Creek (got fat...returned most of them, but kept some!), a trip to Florida coming up (planned anyway, but probably wouldn;t have been able to go if I hadn't quit smoking...), THAT'S ENOUGH!! :) ;)

Ros taught me about rewards. I must admit it took her a while to get it through my thick skull that necessities are not rewards. Throw rugs for the dinning room do not count...Taking the kids to the mall doesn't count.
I've pretty much got it down pat now.
100 day reward - Digital Camera (I love it)
5 month reward - Trip out of town without the kids
6 month reward - Bath and Body Works bubble bath..lots of it!
12 month reward - Will be a cruise in Sept. without the kids(already booked and paid for)
Just this past weekend.... New shoes....
Periodically....Starbucks, long bubble baths, chat time, not cooking dinner and whatever else makes me feel better when I start getting down.

I rewarded myself alot at the beginning with clothes (+++) and buying special things for my daughter. I think my brain was in a short circuit and I could barely make a coherent decision 'cause I bought way beyond what I saved from not smoking!!
Then I bought my six month reward at 3 months because I didn't want to wait. My friend had died and I was seriously depressed and messed up. An emerald ring!
As I had bought that ring early, I let my six month and 200 day anniversary slid by without recognition. That was a mistake as I still needed to encourage myself and reward myself for this war against my 25 year addiction. When I discussed that on this site, I then went and bought a very nice earring/necklace set and committed one night a week to me for my sewing and craft projects!
Reward yourself frequently!

Lately, I've been rewarding myself with a baaaaaaad reward. I shouldn't do this, but I've been giving myself cold stone every few days. If you've never had cold stone ice cream, I feel very sorry for you... it's the best. Unfortunately, it's not the best for my waistline. Oh well. It's still a good reward. :)
Crave the Quit!
