Some "big" ones were a Network Walkman and headphones for the gym, many CDs, and new shoes for every day use. Little, more often ones are letting myself run long on lunch, leaving work early if workload permits (lots of vacation and personal time banked), and wandering home via different routes (used to have to rush home for some reason), sometimes stopping for a cup of coffee or at a bookstore or the park to feed the ducks. Ducks really appreciate it in the middle of the week. I'm not sure if this is a reward or not, I guess I think it is. But, the money we (abg & I) used to spend on cigs per month, we've spent on an RV. Brand new, very nice. Our reward is every time we get to use it. Thanks all. I got 100 $2 bills and carried them for the first two months I quit. Was gonna spend them on some splurge when the time passed. Two months cig money. Ended up working on Katrina and spent them one cup of coffee at a time. Oh well. Still stopped and loving it. Smell the money. How sweet it is. God speeed and good luck. Hi Fish, Those sound like the various rewards I gave myself -- also a pedometer, a Walkman, new CDs, redecorated my guest bathroom. At six months I gave myself new porches for my house. I had several rewards for one year, including membership at the Y. Don't forget you can also give yourself smaller rewards or pats on the back, for just getting through a rough day -- chai lattes were my favorite. You are doing great! A member once advised that she made a list of rewards :) One list was little rewards to get her through the week and the other was a bigger list with more expensive rewards that she used when she reached high goals, such one month, six months, one year etc. Remember all rewards do not have to be costly, pick something that makes you feel good. I personally enjoy some decadent cheesecake! Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
