Negative Core Beliefs VII

Members,

Now that you’ve kept track of your negative core beliefs, try exploring your negative core beliefs about the future:

Questions about the Future

1. What would you like the future to look like?

2. What would you like to believe about the future?

3. How would you be acting differently if you believed that about the future?

Positivity

Positive thinking can be a very powerful tool to use in everyday life. Those who use positive thinking are more likely to anticipate happiness, joy and a successful outcome to every situation.  Some say that whatever the mind expects, it finds.

Members, what are your thoughts on the powers of positive thinking?

Panic Free Since Aug. 25th 2010 Update From Shari

Hi Shari,

Earlier you wrote 3 very powerful words:  Never give up!
To that I want to add:  It's never too late!
Your spirit is inspiring and regardless of the path you choose, you will be successful!

here we go again!

Hi Justducky,

The anxiety you are feeling sounds overwhelming and I'm sure it intensifies when you are unable to get quality sleep   I can understand why you would choose not to move to Toronto at this time.  Toronto will always be an option when you are ready to move and pursue a different path in your life.
Despite it being a difficult decision and not the one you expected, it's important that you recognized it's what is best for you at the moment.

Now, to help you find a sense of direction, what options do you have in your hometown?
Can you get a space of your own to rent?  This could give you a taste of what it's like to be on your own, yet still have some comforts of home close by...
Are you able to pursue a different job?  What hobbies or activities brought you excitement and joy in the past?

Im only 18 and experiencing Panic attacks!

Hi kyleaper,

I'm sorry to hear you're going through a difficult time and disturbing physical symptoms of panic.  You've experienced a traumatic event that has understandably caused you some turmoil.
I'm glad you found this site.  The program provides a lot of information from professional sources on what panic is and ways to work on coping with triggers more effectively.

Continue with the small changes you've made such as eliminating caffeine from your diet and using deep breathing techniques to reduce panic attacks.

I would also suggest consulting a health care professional.  A combination of your doctor's recommendations and working through the program offered on our site will help you return to a more balanced state.

Here for you,
