Sam..you are a kick. You have a way of writing what I was thinking at the 9 day mark. I guess I'm just not that articulate.
Well, glad you made it through the day. Just now I got home from work to find that my daughters ate all the things I nosh on after I get home. I'm not too happy about this. It's just something else to deal with.
Keep up the good work on your quit..2 weeks on the way.

My wife quit the day after me. Since then she has not had a civil word for me, and I'm really getting tired of her yelling at me every day. It's getting so bad, I'm ready to buy her a pack of smokes so she'll ease up.
I think everyone knows I won't do that, but can anyone tell me how much longer I'm going to have to put up with this? I thought it would pass after a month, but it seems to be getting worse.

Hi sprquits, nice to hear from you.
Believe me, I've tried being nicer then ever to her this last month. I took her out for celebratory dinners for 1 week,2 weeks etc. I asked her what she wanted for a reward last weekend. Bought some nice wine, and grilled a couple of T-bones. I even took her shopping....I hate shopping.
Actually, when we upgraded our timeshare, we decided together to quit smoking, because the savings pays for it with money left over every month.

One more try, believe it or not,I actually understood what you meant. It's really OK. I've been married for 27 years to the same woman. We've been through some trying times. I'm just going to have to wait this one out.
I think she didn't believe I could quit, and was waiting for me to give up. Then she'd have a reason not to quit.
I guess I'm proving her wrong.
The reason I came on this website, was because I thought it was just a goof...ere-go goofy. Boy was I wrong. Everyone here has been so great, and I really feel so close to people I've never met. Thank you for letting me know that there are people who do care.
I'm sure with the caring and help you've been this is just another obstacle that will be overcome.
I will not smoke.
One more try, sprquits, thanks again.
Kelly, your insight is also going to prove invaluable. Thanks to you as well.
And I can't forget the help from the wonderful SSC team. Thanks.
Ron

Jodi, and Sue
Thanks for the reassurance. I know that the quit for my wife and myself are worth it.
I found out my wife wants to go to the beach around Christmas. I told her not till she hasn't smoked for 100 days. Heh, Heh. She didn't get it. I guess I'll take her to one of our beach condos for the weekend anyhow.
Thanks again guys.
Not smoking in Orlando.
Ron
