Jon, we can give ourself any excuse to smoke and you have a dandy. You are going through a really tough situation, and it's easy pick right up again. Don't do it. We find ways to self destruct, but smoking is not going to pull us down any further. Stay strong, in the long run, you know it's best to stay smoke free. 192 days is awesume! Make it 193 and go day by day again if you have to.

Hi Karen, Everyone's quit is differnt, you will know this quit is special and that you are going to make it. My job is very stressfull too, and somedays are very hard, when I take that break, and I don't go outside. But, I have learned to take the stairs to the break room, instead of elevator or outside, and sitting down and relaxing in a nice comfy warm room for my break. By the time I go back to work, I feel good. Work the program here, it helps and there are a ton of great people here ready to help. Use them, they don't mind and they actually know what you are going through.

stringpincher - 3 months and you started again. This time the quit starts with N.O.P.E. and ends with N.O.P.E. You know you can do this. Set a reward for 6 months and one year, something that you really want bad, but you can't have it until 6 months are up and one year is up. Use this site, it's great!

You are right Lainey, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada you pay over $11.00 almost $12.00 a pack for 25 in a pack. I am from the states (now a dual - citizen - Canada / US) and I thought the prices were bad enough there, but Canada is way more expensive for something that will kill ya.

Usually before heading to work, I would sit and relax for about a half an hour, and then grab my stuff and lunch and head to work. It usually takes me about 20 minutes drive to get to work. This time is when I crave a smoke badly. I don't know what to do with this time, while I want to relax before going to work, I usually did it with a smoke, then I would have another on the way to work in the car. I notice everyday before work now, I have to fight off the cravings and in the car too. I keep thinking I am forgetting something when I leave the house, because now I don't have to worry about if I have my cigarettes or not and my lighter. But, everytime I work, I keep thinking I am forgetting something. Any suggestions on how to get over these cravings or not have to fight them as much?
