hello

jeniwho, you made it through 15 days!! the hardest part is over, and the good news is, you will never have to deal with it again! woohoo! l know it is hard to stay positive sometimes, but remember how strong you are, how else would you have completed these 15 days?? and handy.. you are right, being on the website makes me think about smoking more, but you know what? l will think about it anyway and there is nothing wrong with it unless what you think is to smoke or not to.. and thinking about it in such a supporting atmosphere makes me feel more safe.. you know what l mean?? we are all in this together so we have to learn from each others mistakes as well as our own. but if you think it is not helping dont hang around much. just come here when you feel like you need a little help or support.. nic gum question

whatever works for you boldinaz.. of course you will face the nicotine withdrawal symptoms when you quit the gum, but they will be easier l guess, and as you say, it is making it easier in the beginning. on the other hand, some of us choose to deal with everything together, but it could be overwhelming. there was a discussion about nicotine patch and cold turkey last week l guess, maybe it helps. l will try to find it for you.. either way, you are doing the right thing!! keep up the good work! medication question

hello all!! after a couple of trials(and failures unfortunately), l decided cold turkey is not the way for me:( l don't want to use nicotine replacement(am afraid of changing the addiction only), chantix is not available in my area yet (and l don't want to wait), so l think l will go with zyban. could you share your experiences about it?? l know everybody is different, and l know l should consult my doctor (l will after l decide to go with it), l just need to hear some experiences about it. thanks in advance:)..

medication question

hello all, l know, l am replying a little bit late, but l did not want to come here still smoking, now l am proud to say l have gone through day 1 and it was much easier, l KNOW l will do it this time. Thanks for all the encouragement in this and previous posts. Casey, did what you advised, got a lot of information, l appreciate your help. Sparky, l will keep this quit, no matter what! Sue, l read about many success stories about chantix, l wish l could get it, but have no intention to wait for it. l am going to be fine, l know it. mercy, luckily zyban is working just fine right now. it keeps my mood up, and l am not feeling like 'about to cry' every single minute as l did while trying to do it cold turkey. tresa, l will do it one way or another no matter what, if zyban did not work (thankfully it did), would have gone with NRT. but l am such an addictive person, so l wanted to give zyban a chance before, and am glad l did now. nonic, what can l say?? l am totally committed to my quit and l am not struggling any more, thank god. People were talking about this mental place where smoking is not an option, and l was wondering if l ever get to be there.. You know what l've found out? l am already there! it does not seem so impossible any more, l can and will do it! l must say, you helped me a lot, more than you know probably:) cannot put in words how thankful l am.. l am looking forward to being over the hell week.. beren
