I bought herbal lozenges to start using on my quit date. Hope they don't taste bad. Has anyone tried them? I can't ask the dr for a prescription because he doesn't know I smoke. Looks like by now I would have quit lying to drs., but oh well that's the mess i'm in.
I think I would have had the same reaction you did at that price for a pack!!!!! :gasp:
Hang in there, your doing great. Soon I'll be right behind you. I've already started cutting out the smokes I go outside to have after my meals. I just get up from the table, clean the dishes and watch tv for an hour or so.
Sooooo happy for you, you can do it.

On the 28th of May I will start my journey to be smoke free. I have been able to cut smokes out after meals, early mornings, and now will cut out smokes before bedtime. I do have smokes several times during the day, just trying to get rid of the routine smokes. I have been able to find something to keep me busy after a meals since I have always gone outside and had a smoke. Missing early morning smokes doesn't seem to bother me. Cutting the bedtime time one is going to be hard, but It will be worth it to be smoke free. :) Thanks for the support from all of you. Im sure I will be using you a lot next week. :8o:

I thought I was the only person who felt like this. I could also go for a weekend with family and not smoke or even think about it, but the second I got in the car by myself I couldn't wait to light up. I often wondered why it didn't bother me when I couldn't have one but when the opportunity came up to have one, I couldn't wait. I also don't want one when I wake up in the mornings. I don't smoke one for at least 2 or 3 hours. But, if I'm going somewhere that morning I have to have one before I leave. weird!!!!! Think it's all in my head. :gasp:

Hi JoJo
Hang in there. I know just what you mean by looking forward to the quit but also terrified!! My quit date is next Monday (28th) and I'm also excited but scared at the same time. :) :8o: I'll be thinking about you tomorrow, I know you can do it. It will be great when we kick this habit.
Phil is right. We should be more terrified of a slow painful death!

Hi Katy,
Congradulations, I know you can do it!!!
This site is great and so much help. Everyone is here for you any time you need them. Your not alone in this journey and it may not always be easy but we can do it
My quit date is Monday May 28. In the last few weeks I have been preparing to quit with the workbook to the left. I have slowly cut down on the smokes per day and purposely changing the times when I smoke them so I can break the routine. I am looking forward to my quit date. I know I can do it this time because I want to so bad.
