Hi, Dee. First of all, your doctor absolutely knows you smoke & you are lying more to yourself than to him. I tried the lozenges & they didn't work for me. That doesn't mean they won't work for you. The problem I had was not with the taste, they weren't bad but with the way you use them. You're supposed to suck 10 of them a day for 2 weeks & you can smoke during that time. I couldn't do it, it irritated me to always have to remember to have one even when I didn't want to & even though they don't taste bad, I got sick of them. Everybody is different of course, that's why there's more than one way! Let us know how it goes.

Hi Dee.. I just now saw your post and I tried the one's that you buy at the drugstore - Saw an ad on t.v. and figured I'd give them a try.
They don't taste bad at all. They are minty actually. I have to be honest with you, I tried them in my 2nd quit and it didn't help me so I went with the patches. But everyone is different.
Let us know how they worked out for you !
Jean

Hi Dee, I have not tried it, but I am sure someone will be along to talk to you about it. I think the lozenges are a bit like the gum, you suck on it when you get a craving, is that how they work?
Dee, it doesn't seem to matter what type of NRT you use, or if you go cold turkey. It seems to matter more, if you are in the right frame of mind.
Are you just beginning your quit?

I bought herbal lozenges to start using on my quit date. Hope they don't taste bad. Has anyone tried them? I can't ask the dr for a prescription because he doesn't know I smoke. Looks like by now I would have quit lying to drs., but oh well that's the mess i'm in.
