Hey Katy congrats on your desicion to quit smoking. Everyone offered advice to me when I quit and it didn't really mean much to me at the time. I was mostly scared thinking about quitting until I got it in my head that while smoking, I'm not only ruining my health and shortening my life, I'm also helping make a group of old men richer who are smart enough not to be smoking. Hi Katy, Congradulations, I know you can do it!!! This site is great and so much help. Everyone is here for you any time you need them. Your not alone in this journey and it may not always be easy but we can do it My quit date is Monday May 28. In the last few weeks I have been preparing to quit with the workbook to the left. I have slowly cut down on the smokes per day and purposely changing the times when I smoke them so I can break the routine. I am looking forward to my quit date. I know I can do it this time because I want to so bad. Katy So glad you found this site. It really can help you. Prepare yourself, maybe do the quit program to the left of this page. It helped me. You can do this. Most of us here thought the same thing when we started our quits, that we could never stop. I smoked for 25+ years and tried to quit so many times that my family never believed I could go one day without the cigs. Now I am at 83 days and still going. NOPE (not one puff ever). Let us know how we can help you :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 83 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,075 Amount Saved: $415.00 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 19 Mins: 54 Seconds: 19

katy, Prepare yourself well and use this site as often as possible. Go through the quit programme to the left and read, read, read and read and then post, post, post and post!! There will always be someone here to help you through the early stages of the quit; a time that proves so difficult to many. May I congratulate you on your decision to quit and on finding this site it has been such a boon to many, including me! Welcome and good luck! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1100 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 22,000 Amount Saved: 5,500.00 Life Gained: Days: 176 Hrs: 16 Mins: 52 Seconds: 34
