Losing it!

I have only two days into this thing for the 100 time of trying but this time I have better advice and a much better frame of mind. It has taken me 30 years to realize I am not cool when I smoke. And Phillip I am looking at the money you have saved and you are now my inspiration. Kudos to you. I am thinking you need to shop. If you need some tips I am a GREAT on line shopper. Hey everybody go ahead and laugh but it keeps out of the garage and thats where I used to smoke.

Day 2

Hi Andy I do feel better. I know I will quit this time. I have a lot of support. None of my friends smoke and I am tired of hiding and sneaking around for a smoke. Good luck to you. :)

Day 2

After trying to quit 100 times I know I will beat this thing this time. I am trying acupuncture this time. So far I have had only two really bad cravings. I am on edge and sleeping more than normal. I am breathing easier and I do not stink. Jonlin

100 days and still struggling

I have been a smoker for 30 years. I am on day 2 but this time I feel much more postive about being a non-smoker. I went for acupuncture ( yes I tried pills, patches, gum and hypnoisis). The most important thing my doctor told me is the best he could do for me is be the best cheerleader a person could be. He advised me to change my HABITS! It is not just the nicotine it is also where and when I used cigs. It is really helping me this time. I really don't know if is the acupuncture or the positive advice. Good luck I think this is the hardest thing anyone will ever do.

A craving only lasts a few minutes? Right.

I have been smoke free for a week. I had to be at work at mid-nite Monday. I was thinking how great a smoke would taste with my coffee at that hour until I got stuck in close quarters with a very heavy duty smoker. My coffee didn't even taste good after that. I went and told my co-workers how sorry I was for fouling up their air space. So when you think nik is getting the best of you think about how much better you smell. I was really shock that I allowed myself to smell like that. Smoke Free in the O.C. June-bugs roll call

Put me on the list. I don't think I have seen a June bug since I was a kid. Thanks for bringing back a great memory. After a co-worker collasped at work a group of us quite smoking. One has cut back to almost nothing and another has decided she is not ready. I have super support at home and at work. I hope I can be of support to others. I am doing acupuncture and it is working for me. For my 1 month anniversary I am treating myself to a facial. I really like those kind of things. Hang in there and keep posting. Hello I'm new and need some support to quit

Sorry to hear your support at home is not what you really need. The people here are great. They really helped me get through the weekend along with the support of my friends at work and my family at home. I went for acupuncture this time. I feel really good and quiting this time has been much easier for me than ever before. I saw a co-worker collaspe at work (a fellow smoker). Enough was enough and I got help. My first grandchild arrives in August and I want to be around to see more than just one grandchild. Hang tough and just think of the money you are saving by not smoking. I am going to treat myself to a facial on my one month anniversary. Think of something special you can do for yourself with the money you save because you did not buy that pack of smokes.
