Yep, they're stupid, they kill, they're expensive, they make you sick, they cost a fortune, they make you stink, they shorten your life, they take away your time on earth & with your loved ones.
Don't Smoke, and life will be GRAND ~
Hope you''re doing okay. Please dedicate the time time to be here for support of your quit - it's important. It's your life.

Sally's Daughter,
This is actually GREAT - focus on the great support you will have from your husband. There are folks who have to try and endure a quit with a spouse who is still smoking, which has got to be hell! If you want this quit and he is willing to help you, RUN WITH IT! You're feeling okay - all you need to do is keep up the good work. Until you get used to your "New" life and routine, you will be confused at times. At those times just smile and take a deep breath and say I'm so glad I don't smoke anymore!!!!!!!!!! (Yep, I still do this) sorry to get carried away!!

Hello LadyCroft - Butterfly Swimmer is correct, you should plan to quit sooner. Smoking damanges the heart and contributes to the development of Atrial Fibrillation. (American Academy of Cardiology). You should make an appointment with your doctor so he/she can work with you for your current medical conditions, including possible depression. I would not put this off another day. You're life is worth making a phonecall and putting the smokes away for good. C'mon and join us quitters. Let us know when you want to join the non smokers and breathe EZ. We will be here to support you.
Best,

RKM - You're doing great, this may be a difficult time, but you're handling it. Have your coping mechanisms close and your computer even closer. If you need help post right away and breathe deeply - someone will help. I think you will be just fine - keep moving and thinking about all the positives that got you here with us quitters. It's the hard part that makes the rewarding part.. well, just that.

Pink,
As you know, smoking helps NOTHING get better, if you light up, it will still be the same when you're done. You are missing nothing by smoking. Coping is one of the hardest things when you think you need to smoke or are in a situation that always triggered you to smoke in the past. Throw away all cigs, ashtrays, lighters, etc. Get your self something else to do (I now have a Red Not addiction) and my husband chews so much gum that his jaw is sore, but we're still NOT SMOKING. Hey - come to think of it, paint your toenails a NEW shade of pink. That takes time and keeps your hands busy!!
Best,
