Dear All:
I have to say, I have been sick for over 6 days now and I am SO tired of it!!!!!! Even when I smoked I did not get sick for this long. Geez, my body must be in overdrive to get to the cleansing part of things. I am on day 24 and I don't want to smoke - but I am mostly ticked off because I am not feeling as well as I did a week ago, which was FABULOUS!!!! I'm still drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day (tired of that too) but it does help me somehow. I'm back on the Biaxin, hopefully for the last time for a long time! SICK of BEING SICK!!!!! But being the stubborn ox I am, I will be ...

By the Way Harlan Coben has a new book out - so at least one good thing this week!!!! If you want a thrill that's WAY better than smoking, pick up one of his books. :)

HI BrickWall: You're doing Fabulous with 7 days! Awesome job. I think it's perfectly normal what you are experiencing. There are many days when I think about cigarettes WAY more than I can believe. Do you have your list of reasons why you quit close by for review? Hopefully you are drinking all the water. I'm glad you're feeling well (health wise) It's okay to think about cigarettes, JUST DON'T SMOKE. NOPE Not One Puff Ever.

Hi MiouMiou:
It sure sounds like you miss your daughter. I am sorry she is not there to be with you. We're happy to be here for you. Wherever your daughter may be, I'm sure she is supportive of your decision to quit smoking. Tough things in life happen when you smoke and when you don't. When you stop smoking, you learn a new way to handle stress and bad feelings - smoking only gave you something to do while you FELT the same way. Smoking fixes nothing, it does not make you or the problem better. Have you checked in with your doctor about the side affects of the patch? Maybe that is the cause of some of your anguish. Try to do something that makes you happy even if it's not the right time. I have been to the ice cream store at 9 pm because I needed to treat myself. I have stayed on the treadmill longer just because I know it will make me feel better. You find what works best for you MiouMiou and be really gentle with yourself. You deserve some special treatment. Stay strong and remember we are here and we all know bad and good days.
