Hello

Hello ~m I am really looking forward to moving through the sessions with intent. I know that life is about how you view it ands this program seems to be about viewing it or experiencing it differently. I am usually such an up person and when I go through these dark periods it is difficult. We all know there is light at the end of the tunnel and it is the work we put in that will get us there with the help of others. I look forward to that help and sharing. I will be going into my second session work shortly, what has you stuck if you do not mind me asking. I am glad I met you here Numaseven

Hello

Kicking myself is something I do well ~m. I am happy you are doing well. I think I need to do the steps as inteded and not worry too much about how well I do. I did notice that the things I get stuck on are the things I need to work on the most. Talking through things helps me and sharing how I feel helps also. Where do you struggle with session two. Ns

The Mood Tracker

The mood tracker is a great tool as it makes us reflect. It also let's me see day to day things that have negative impacts. If waking up at 6 gives me anxiety why not wake up at 5 am. If I see the same force everyday I need to embrace it, understand it and then accept it. Moving on. Numaseven

Finally!

Hello Kelsey and welcome to your new community. I am glad to see you open up with your feelings. I find it helpful when I open up to someone I trust. I too am new to this group but have found the tools helpful. I just need to go through the program and experience it with intent. Nothing is instant and I am finding helpful tips from the group. I am exercising and eating well which is helping me also. I know the me inside will learn to train this darkness as I have before. Just patience, acceptance and stay the course is my advice to me and I hope you will find that helpful . You are among friends that really want to help and be helped. If you want advice ask the group what works for them, we are all different and we just may find some tips and ideas that are helpful or at least common issues others are dealing with.... Numaseven

Waiting out Depression

Waiting out depression that is interesting.  I think I do go to sleep every night and hope that it will be gone in the morning.  I work out, eat correctly, read books, take medication all to try and make it go away.  So waiting it out seems to be a good term.  I do what I do to make the time of the depression less and understand more about my feelings.  I know that everyday if I get through the day and take positive steps I end up one day closer to the feelings or symptoms to disapear.  What I am getting from these questions is should I be doing more that just going through the motions.  Should I be doing the program, work and my life with real intent.  Not just to past the time, but to make the time more productive so I get the most out of every day.  Take on problems head on today instead of worrying about them for a couple of weeks.  Getting ahead of the game.  Yes I think I have been waiting for it to pass so I can get on with my life.  I think it is time to accept this as part of my life and get on with living now.  I have been avoiding doing certain things until I feel better.  No more, I am taking it head on and pushing through things now.  It is time to get back on the court and stop watch/waiting for things toget better.  Thank you Vincenza for openning this thought up for me.
